The Miami Hurricanes have come away with another big time player in the transfer portal. West Virginia Mountaineers defensive lineman Akheem Mesidor has arrived in Coral Gables to reunite with former WVU co-defensive coordinator Jahmile Addae and former teammate Darryl Porter Jr at The U. Mario Cristobal is adding a player who can make an immediate impact in Miami's pass rush. Mesidor had his best season in Morgantown as a pass rusher in year one but also has the versatility to play in the interior as he did as a sophomore in 2021.
