This week in The Lounge I had some real-as-fuck chats with the incredibly intelligent and darling Mangala Holland!
We talk about the demonization of clit-gasms, the bullshit and myths that are perpetuated in neo-tantra like this and the shadowy underbelly of certain communities and teachings that Mangala experienced during her years in the scene. Mangala opens up about some of the horrific experiences she had and the routine abuse of power within the neo-tantric ashram she was part of that was normalised from the moment you joined the ranks (read: indoctrinated into the cult).
We discuss the difference between neo-tantra and traditional tantra, cultural appropriation within this realm, and loads more meaty topics that are rarely talked about publicly.
