Recently I've been learning about what it means to have a growth mindset.  It's a really interesting topic and I think as Muslims we can apply some of the ideas to the way we view marriage.  So a growth mindset is a belief that our abilities can be developed and improved.  Of course, we should always begin every new endeavor with dua to Allah to help us and then we need to put the effort in.  Another aspect of the growth mindset is to acknowledge we are not perfect. So again we know only Allah is perfect whereas we make mistakes, but the important thing is to learn from them. 
So in today's episode, I have the pleasure of speaking to Zakkiya Ali, she has a website called www.Muslimommy.com, it's an online resource for Muslimas and Moms who want to feel supported and live a life that’s less stressful and overwhelming. The goal is to present spiritual and practical advice to live with more intention, be mindful, and focus on being healthy physically, mentally, and emotionally as a busy mom. Zakiyya has been married for a number of years we will be discussing  how we can have a growth mindset regarding marriage
