Description

Today we sit down with Doug Pinkham, President of the Public Affairs Council.  Doug talks to us about the Public Affairs Council, and how his career in public affairs led him to his current role. The Public Affairs Council is the leading association for public affairs professionals worldwide. Their mission is to advance the field of public affairs and to provide members with the executive education, expertise, and research they need to succeed, while maintaining the highest ethical standards. The Council’s staff of professionals have experience in a host of communications-related areas, including lobbying, public affairs, and social media. They host more than 100 webinars and events annually, and most offer a virtual option. Doug received a B.A. in English from The College of Wooster. While in college, Doug interned for Oregon Public Television. After graduating, Doug moved to Washington, D.C., where he did PR for the Association for Wholesale Florists. Doug then went on to work for the American Gas Association as a Senior Editor. After 15 years at the American Gas Association, Doug moved on to the Public Affairs Council, where he continues to work today.
