About this ebook
Paddy doesn't think he is a bad person. Okay, being a car salesman, he might exaggerate the merits of his cars to make a sale. So what? That's what any good salesman would do. Alatan from Tel Aviv and Blue, a true fair dinkum Aussie, have also led less-than-perfect lives some would say. But what happens on judgment day? The three meet for the first time in a bar, now their futures are intertwined. Fate intervenes, and judgment day has arrived but there is a twist which no one saw coming.

My past was dominated by rural pursuits. Contracting and then farming which included dairy, sheep and beef, and finally deer. Looking for a change, I moved to the city and dabbled in several business ventures. Writing novels was never considered in the early years, although from an early age, I enjoyed reading which led to writing short stories. But only for my own amusement. With more time on my hands, I started reading more. Perhaps I suffered a mid-life crisis, I thought I could write a novel. And I did. Seven times. There is a saying practice makes perfect, that's what I'm striving for. In the meantime, while working towards this goal I am deriving bucket-loads of pleasure from concocting my suspense novels. I try to write something unpredictable, something which leaves the reader thinking I never saw that coming.

BOOK DESCRIPTION
ONLY THE GOOD GO TO HEAVEN
By IAN G WELCH
This is a short novella written not for any literary aclaim, or as a money-making exercise. It was for my own personal amusement and hopefully, it generates a similar response from you the reader. The intention is to provide a light-hearted snapshot of entrenched stereotypical perceptions we all secretly have. At the same time, it showcases the author’s writing prowess or lack of. To anyone who may hold profound religious beliefs and find this offensive, I apologize.
Paddy isn’t perfect, he’s a car salesman who occasionally exaggerates the fine points of his cars for sale. Alatan from Tel Aviv thinks of himself as thrifty rather than mean with money. Blue from Australia holds very definite opinions and will argue with anyone who begs to differ.
Sit back, smile, and enjoy.
ONLY THE GOOD GO TO HEAVEN

Paddy smiled; it had been a good week: a brilliant week. Five sales in five days; that was as good as it gets. His car sales cash register was humming. He quietly patted himself on the back, a couple of the sales were particularly pleasing. The two women customers had tested his mettle. He knew from his past experience tiny innocuous items could scupper a dead cert sale, especially with his feminine clientele. The upholstery is the wrong color, I want something more feminine, a softer shade of red please, and I don’t want a masculine grunt machine, but it must be peppy.
Paddy grinned, that’s where his salesmanship kicked into gear. Yes, car salesmen sometimes receive a bad rap. They’re all crooks, they’re too
