Just when you gonna get yourself a man and settle down,
Grannie asked me.
I knew her heart was in the right place, knew she loved me, but how many times would I have to tell the same old story. Love just doesn’t hit you and you fall madly in love with someone. What if they aren’t what you think? What if it turns out they leave you with three kids and a house you can’t pay for? What if they turn out to be a serial killer?
Grannie laughed when I asked my last question. Sounds like to me you just got cold feet. That young man you’re dating right now seems to be a mighty nice fella.
I grinned. You just like him because you think he’s tall, dark and handsome.
