Life in the Fast Lane
July 14, 2022
When I was thirty years old, twenty-one years ago, I was very lost. I remember thinking, This is never going to work.
I am talking about the system.
Basically the system
told me if I work hard, get an education, and have some kind of plan, everything should work out for me.
So, at thirty years old. I remember my dad asking me, What is my plan?
And that was a question that I often was being asked or often asked myself. And so, in order to have an answer for my dad or people in society, I would concoct a plan of how I was going to succeed
in the world. Because, you know, if I have a plan, people might not think I am a total loser.
Okay. So, at thirty years old. I think it’s safe to say, I was burned out on this type of thinking. My plans to succeed
never worked out. Never. So, what did I do? I turned to God. I did. I really did. I found this prayer called the Q. It turns out, the Q is a very ancient prayer. It’s not owned by anyone. However, in 1965, a man named Marvin Mackey created a religion called Macadamia in Las Vegas and he adopted the Q as the bread and butter
of this religion.
So, I joined Macadamia. It was very interesting. I learned about important leaders in the religion such as Marvin Mackey and other spiritual leaders. Macadamia is very big on spiritualisms
such as karma, soul travel, and dreams.
About fifteen years ago, I stopped going to Macadamia events because something inside of me didn’t feel quite right. But. The ancient prayer, the Q, has always felt right. And even though I stopped with Macadamia, I always stayed with the Q. To this day, I pray to God using Q as my prayer method.
And did prayer using the Q prayer help improve my life? Yes. Of course, it did. I would say, in general, I began to recognize things in life that were helpful and I began to see
things I did not see before. And my awareness improved.
Okay. So, one of the things that I found was Reliance Education. It used to be called BEST. Now, BEST, like Macadamia was also founded in the 1960s. It was founded in San Francisco by a guy named William Billstein. Now, it’s funny. Whenever I meet people like myself who have done BEST or Reliance Education, often their response is similar. They say things like, It’s a cult.
or It’s a sales organization,
or They just want your money.
Things like that.
But my truth is Reliance gave me a ton of valuable information for whatever it was I paid them. I did the Reliance Introduction Course, the Reliance Advanced Course and subsequent seminars. I just want to say that after I did the Reliance Introduction, I did their subsequent ten-week course called Reliance Introduction in Action.
This was very important because even though I did the Introduction course, the action
course made sure that I knew how to implement what I had just learned.
So, hey, before I did Reliance, I didn’t know anything about being a creative human being. I wasn’t conscious of the importance of creating anything. Reliance woke me up and helped me realize, if I want a great life, I have to create it. Wow. So, in 2007, I did the Reliance Introduction Course. It’s a three-day seminar. And after completing it, I did my first creative act. I bought a XV-II motor scooter.
And you might think, Oh, well, that’s nothing.
But in my mind. I was like, Hey, I did that.
I figured out all things I had to do in order to buy a scooter. And at the time, I had the time, because I was unemployed.
So, it wasn’t just that I bought a scooter. No. It wasn’t that at all. From doing Reliance, I realized, I had a racket
which they define as a constant complaint or a fixed way of being. My racket was I was frustrated with getting around San Francisco. Then, suddenly, after defining this racket, I had what they call a breakthrough
. I thought to myself, Gee. I had a scooter in college. Why don’t I get a scooter now? And then I will solve my own problem..
And then I did. And then I was like Yeah! I did that! (I solved my own problem!) What else can I create for myself?
And my first creative act that I was conscious of, buying the scooter, made me realize how awesome it is to be creative. I came to realize that creating is everything. Creating is what gives me pleasure, happiness, satisfaction. Wow! Okay. So. About two years ago, which was 2020, I discovered on YouTube, this lady named Marsha Mooney. She goes by the name Noah. Anyway, for me, she knocks it out of the park.
So with my belief, knowledge and experience with God from Macadamia and my understanding of the importance of creating from Reliance, she puts it all together. She says, in order to receive anything in life, it is necessary that I feel good right now. Not sometime in the future, but right now. Grateful for the life I have right now. And yes, I realize doing that takes practice and work. And she also says we have a soul or an inner being
. Now in Macadamia, I learned about soul. But Macadamia says we are soul, not that we have a soul. And that’s as far as Macadamia takes it.
But Marsha Mooney says, there is me, there is my soul, and there is God. All very important. And she also says, located in my soul, or inner being, or most specifically, my soul vortex, is where all my good stuff is.
