    Introduction

    What is Obesity?

    Also called Corpulence or Fatness?

    Obesity is defined as having excess body fat. Adults 35 years of age and older with a BMI greater than 30 are obese.    There are many answers and terms to that question and all of them come up negative.

    Obesity is a Complex multifactorial disease.

    Obesity is an excessive accumulation of body fat.

    Obesity is where your very overweight with a Lot of Body Fat

    Obesity is a chronic disease in which a person weighs at least 20% more than is healthy for their height and body shape.    

    Even though medications and diets can help, the treatment of obesity cannot be a short-term fix but has to be a lifelong commitment to proper DIET habits, increased Physical Activity, and regular Exercise.

    − The problem of Obesity is it not only affects the person it can affect the whole family, loved ones, relationships to.   There is short- and long-term costs to individuals and families.

    − Basically, Obesity is very serious, it’s not just the desire to look slim’ instead of looking 'large’ aspect.  It is a serious medical disease that could lead to high blood pressure, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and some cancers.

    Obesity has become a serious health concern now for over  20 plus years and it affects millions of people worldwide.

    Obesity has very negative consequences there is nothing about obesity that is positive. It is negative and has very negative consequences.  

    In this book we will explore the very negative consequences of this disease and explain why it’s important to maintain a healthy body weight no matter what age you are.

    Risk of Chronic Disease:

    Having Obesity, you run a very real risk of acquiring a chronic disease or long-term health conditions.
