    Introduction

Mirza Ghalib, a renowned Urdu and Persian poet from the 19th century,  said 'Love can't be forced’. This statement captures a profound truth about the nature of love: Love cannot be coerced or imposed. True love is a spontaneous and mutual feeling that arises naturally between individuals. Attempting to force or manipulate someone into loving another would undermine the authenticity and depth of that emotion. Love is a profound connection that blossoms on its own, free from manipulation or pressure.

Numerous stories have been written over the millennia how lovers have been subjected to social and religious practices. Throughout history and across cultures, there have been countless stories and narratives that depict how lovers have faced challenges, obstacles, and even persecution due to social and religious practices. These stories often highlight the clash between personal emotions, desires, and societal norms or religious beliefs.

Love in several unconventional relationships is often associated with ‘forbidden fruit’ that is a metaphor for anything that is desired but not moral, legal or permissible to indulge in. Love outside marriage amounts to infidelity, but may prove to be a boon to rekindle the dead romance between the married couple. External involvement might serve as a catalyst to reignite the romantic spark within the marriage. This could be because the presence of a new connection outside the marriage can lead partners to reassess their own relationship and potentially work to improve it. However, emotional or romantic involvement outside a committed relationship can be ethically challenging due to the impact it can have on trust and the commitments made within the marriage.

The seven stories here depict situations which capture the idea of love as a force that evolves naturally, transcending societal norms and expectations.  Love flourishes uninhibited and takes its own course, and the characters surrender to love's flow, unmindful of social practice and established norms of monogamy, viewing it as a spiritual and divine experience

    Epigraphs

Take me to the moon. Show me heaven. I want to die in your arms tonight.

Kissing is not a physical act between two pairs of lips. A true kiss is a divine interlocking of two pairs of lips, whereby the lovers achieve a higher spiritual union.

You had stirred my soul way before you fell in love with me. I was in love with you well before I met you.

You did not woo me, but I felt wooed.

I promise you love but not loyalty. I promise you separation but not togetherness.

I don't want to meet you because I melt in your arms but can't control myself.

In true love, you attain peace and happiness when you surrender to your partner and trust that you will be adored, loved, worshiped, and pampered.

Let yourself be transformed into a liquid and flow like a river. Be like the Ganges, which becomes a river only after the ice of this glacier melts.

I try to make you smile for the same reason you smile for me.

You saw me beneath my skin; you entered my soul. You are the first person in my life to have touched my soul, stirred, awakened, loved, and valued me.

My soul was not looking for an ideal partner. It was looking for its missing part. That’s why I fell in love with you.

Love makes everyone a poet. You are my poem.

I am so happy that the dangerous tigress lies in bed like a gorgeous princess.

Don't try to give his relationship to us a name. He was our soulmate.

I experienced a profound union with the universe, as if the infinite had embraced my soul. Time lost its grip, and I felt as though I was part of a timeless.

Roses do not bloom hurriedly; for beauty, like any masterpiece, takes time to blossom. Only a devil is in a hurry.

Kissing or making love is not an office job with a deadline.

Lips are like petals. Force destroys them.

Do not seek permanence in the impermanent world.

Knowing facts or lies about you won’t make any difference to me.

That can't be love if I first get to know you, analyze you, and consider whether we are made for each other. Can you rationalize your feelings?

I met you because you already existed in my heart.

    Take me to your heart.

You look more like a business tycoon than a student!

Life is full of unexpected moments and encounters, and sometimes, they can lead to beautiful and enriching relationships.

Love Knows No Bounds. Love knows no reason, no boundaries, no distance.

Love has the sole intention of bringing people together to a time called forever.

Love is forever, beyond time, space, and individuals. You and I don't exist. Only love does.

    The Sun is shining.

    Buds open to decay;

    With a silver lining."

    "W

hy would you be an asset to our organization?" I asked.

The work culture and leadership at your organization will make me an asset or a liability, Nisha said curtly.

I was annoyed at her response. What about your work ethics and leadership? You are being interviewed here for the CEO position, I said.

Sir, if you give me the freedom to think and act independently, I will create history in your organization. If I am forced to execute ideas contrary to my conviction, I shall not work here for long, she said in an arrogant overtone.

My co-interviewers were overwhelmed by her sheer arrogance and intimidating demeanor. I give you freedom. But what if you mess up? Who will pay for the damages? I asked in a high-pitched voice.

As the owner of an ambitious start-up, I would advise you to take this risk of hiring me, she said again in an overbearing tone.

We hired Nisha Singh. She was 30 years old, from Chandigarh, and an IIM Ahmedabad alumnus. Tall, average-looking, quick-witted, blunt, arrogant, but confident. She knew her job well.

I am an IT professional and have started this IT venture. I am 55 years old, but people say I look around 40. I feel happy about it. When someone insists on knowing my age, I say I am 50. I am happily married to a gorgeous woman, and we have two sons. We are based out of Bangalore.

Within one month, Nisha became quite a terror in the company. She was a hard taskmaster. Not only were other employees in the company scared of her, some even hated her. She didn't socialize with anyone. She even refused to attend corporate parties. She said she knew what she had to do and that it would produce results. She said she had not joined us to win friends but to do some productive work.

As she reported to me, we used to meet several times during the day. She was to the point and hardly smiled. I would have liked her to be friendlier and more relaxed, but I didn't dare to tell her anything. Once, I asked her to call me late in the evening for business reasons, but she refused and didn't apologize. I was distraught with her and thought of firing her.

Over the following days and weeks, she started coming to my cabin more frequently. She started wearing fashionable clothes, got a new hairdo, and wore good perfume. She began
