    About the Authors

    Longings

    W. J. Manares

Longings, oh longings, they weave through my days,

Like whispers of dreams that refuse to fade away.

They caress my heartstrings, they pull at my soul,

They paint vibrant landscapes, beyond my control.

I long for adventure, for the thrill of the unknown,

To explore uncharted territories, where my spirit can roam.

I crave the rush of the wind on my face,

As I chase after dreams, in a wild, daring race.

I long for connection, for a soul who understands,

The depths of my being, the touch of their hands.

To share in life's joys, to weather its storms,

To know I'm not alone, to feel truly warm.

I long for serenity, for peace of the mind,

To find solace in silence, a respite to unwind.

To escape from the chaos, that tugs at my soul,

And find a tranquil haven, where my spirit can be whole.

I long for purpose, to make a meaningful mark,

To leave behind footprints, that light up the dark.

To touch lives with kindness, to inspire and heal,

To leave a legacy, that others can feel.

I long for love, a love that's pure and true,

A love unbounded, a love that's brand new.

To find my soul's counterpart, my eternal flame,

And dance in the moonlight, forever untamed.

Longings, oh longings, they fill up my heart,

They push me to grow, to strive and to start.

They whisper of possibilities, just out of reach,

Aching reminders of dreams yet to breach.

But though they may haunt me, these longings within,

They also remind me of the life I can begin.

For within each longing lies a seed of hope,

A compass to navigate life's vast scope.

So, I cradle these longings, like treasures held tight,

For they are the fuel that ignites my inner light.

They guide me, they shape me, in ways yet unknown,

And I'll continue to long, until my dreams are my own.

    These longings, mysterious and intense,

They weave intricate patterns, they make no pretense.

They stir the depths of my very soul,

Fueling a fire that burns, beyond control.

I long for association that goes beyond words,

A bond unbreakable, that's felt like birds.

To be seen and understood, without a facade,

To be cherished and embraced, like an ardent ode.

I yearn for affection that transcends worldly bounds,

A love so profound, it echoes through heart sounds.

To find a soulmate, a companion for eternity,

A love that knows no boundaries, no duality.

Longings, oh longings, they haunt my dreams,

Like whispers in the night, or so it seems.

They tug at my heartstrings, they pull me close,

To a realm of possibility, where longing flows.

I long to explore undiscovered lands,

To wander through valleys, and leave my footprints in sands.

To breathe the air of foreign lands, so pure,

And witness the wonders that the world does endure.

I yearn for freedom, to break these chains,

To dance with abandon, without any restraints.

To live life on my terms, to chase my desires,

And set my soul ablaze, as passion inspires.

I long for success, to carve my own path,

To leave a mark, to defy life's wrath.

To create something meaningful, with purpose and zeal,

To prove to myself, that dreams can be real.

    Longings, oh longings,
