Dedication
I wrote this book because I wanted to share my journey of healing and hope with those who may be struggling. I know how challenging life can be at times, and I want to extend my hand to offer support and encouragement.
The content of this book comes from my own experiences, some of which have been difficult and painful. However, with the love and support of my partner, I have been able to heal my inner child and find a sense of peace and strength within myself.
If you are going through a tough time, I want you to know that you are not alone. There is hope for a brighter tomorrow, and I believe that with the right tools and support, you can overcome life's challenges and find happiness and fulfillment.
I hope that my book will inspire and uplift you, and that it will serve as a reminder that you are strong enough to face whatever comes your way. Together, we can overcome adversity and emerge stronger and more resilient than ever before.

Words of encouragement for people who are struggling:
Dear Reader,
I want you to know that I will see you. I understand that you have faced challenges and disappointments from those who were supposed to support you. Finding a safe place among those closest to us is complex, and I acknowledge the pain and hurt that this may have caused you.
But despite all that you have been through, I want to encourage you to continue being kind to others. Kindness is a powerful force that can positively impact the world. Even when the world does not show us kindness, we can still be kind to those around us. And in doing so, we can make a difference in the lives of others.
I know that you may struggle to understand your emotions and experiences, and it can be hard to understand ourselves and our personal growth when we have been hurt by those we love. But I hope that by reading my book, you will better understand yourself and your journey.
My book offers my perspective on life and provides insights that help you navigate your challenges. I want to help you stand up again and find the strength to keep moving forward. You are not alone in this journey; I am here to offer support and encouragement.
Remember, this is not the end. You can overcome your struggles and find joy and fulfillment in life. I believe in you, and I hope my book can be a source of hope and inspiration for you.
Sincerely,
[Cejay M. Canlas]

About the Author
Trauma is not a life sentence, but rather a chapter in your story that you have the power to rewrite with each new day.
Overcoming Trauma
T
he human experience is often riddled with obstacles and challenges that can leave us feeling overwhelmed and hopeless. For those who have experienced trauma, simply getting out of bed each morning can feel like an insurmountable task. The scars of past events, terrible memories, and other traumatic experiences can leave a lasting imprint on our psyche, making it difficult to maintain a sense of normalcy or routine.
When we’re confronted with the aftermath of a traumatic event, it’s natural to question why we have to endure such pain and suffering. We may find ourselves asking what the purpose of our existence is, and whether life is worth living at all. These feelings of despair and hopelessness can be overwhelming, and it can be hard to find a way out.
Yet, despite the challenges we face, there is always hope for healing and recovery. With the support of loved ones, therapy, and other resources, we can begin to rebuild our lives and move forward from the trauma that has held us back. While the scars of our past may never fully fade, we can learn to live with them and find ways to grow and thrive despite them.
It’s important to remember that healing is a journey, and it’s okay to take things one step at a time. Whether it’s getting out of bed each morning or taking a small step towards a larger goal, every effort we make towards healing is a victory in itself. With time, patience, and persistence, we can overcome even the most daunting of obstacles and create a brighter future for ourselves.
Life is like a book. Some chapters are sad, some are happy, and some are exciting. But if you never turn the page, you will never know what the next chapter holds.
Moving Forward And Valuing Yourself
P
erhaps, it is important to acknowledge that reminiscing about the past can be beneficial, but getting stuck there can hinder one’s progress. It’s easy to become consumed by the memories and emotions of the past, but it’s essential to recognize when it’s time to move on and focus on the present and future.
Furthermore, it’s important to be mindful of the people we invest our energy in. We may admire someone and value them greatly, but if they are not reciprocating the same level of care and attention, it can become a one-sided relationship that drains our energy.
It’s essential to remember that we all have value and deserve to be treated with respect and kindness. Sometimes, it’s easy to forget our worth when we focus too much on pleasing others and neglect our own needs.
Therefore, it’s vital to prioritize self-care and establish boundaries to prevent being burdened by excessive human interactions that may harm our mental and emotional well-being. By valuing and respecting ourselves, we attract people who will also treat us with the same level of care and respect
In a world where negativity is all too common, appreciation is a rare and precious gift. When you make a habit of showing gratitude to your partner, you create a safe haven of love and acceptance.
Importance Of Appreciation And Honesty
E
xpressing appreciation and giving attention to someone we admire is not only a genuine and pure intention, but it's also a courageous act of vulnerability. It takes courage to open up to someone and express our admiration and feelings towards them. It's a wonderful feeling to experience butterflies in our stomach when we're around the person we admire, and it's even more special when we know that they feel the same way about us.
However, we must always keep in mind that love is
