You gotta hand it to Mother Teresa, she was alright.

It was two years ago when Mick Lambrou and I completed our first book, It Blows My Mind. When I say first, it’s because we already had a vision to continue with more volumes due to the amount of sheer nonsense in the world around us.

Each day, as society fed us more and more insanity, I continued to jot down entertaining observations that our book’s main character, Carmine, would be upset or bothered by, and Mick continued to sketch him in different situations. We knew we were going to expand the It Blows My Mind universe.

If you followed It Blows My Mind online from the start, you probably know that the videos came as an afterthought. It seems that having a regular online presence has helped us keep the Gospel of Carmine alive week after week and allowed us to rub shoulders with fans of the book on a more personal level.

This book features something a little different as well. As avid fans of the Sunday Funnies, comic strips like Ginger Meggs, Hägar the Horrible, Blondie, Heathcliff, The Wizard of Id and current ones like Max Cannon’s Red Meat, we decided to create a few in our own style to add a little more flavor to Volume Two.

And that’s not all we have in-store for the future of Carmine and It Blows My Mind! The next few years are going to keep us both busy!

They say The World is Your Oyster, but I don’t see a delicious shellfish. I see a dumpster that’s constantly on fire and feeding Carmine with more and more things that blow his mind, and hopefully yours as well!
