The fifth book of the dual series in which Archie marries Betty / Veronica, switching from one storyline to the other. This is probably my biggest quibble; the storylines get a little mixed up when each chapter has Archie married to a different character, with correspondingly different plots. Better would have been to have the first half of the book devoted to Archie's life with Betty, then Veronica for the second half. But anyway, our characters seem to have gotten past the bitter misunderstandings that nearly led to divorces in the previous books, although it's difficult to fathom Archie blithely forgiving Mr. Lodge for the evil schemes he previously set into play to break up Archie and his daughter. There are still some pretty serious stories here, which rumors suggest will result in the death of a major character.
