A Guide to Good Parenting - Ursula Davis
Dedication
I would like to dedicate this book to my amazing children, Tracy, Tierra, Jamal, Jarvis, and Jarrett.
Acknowledgments
I sat in my room one night thinking to myself, it is so hard being a young parent, there has to be a way I can help someone with parenting, giving some tips that I learned along the way. I had a lot of people around me to give me great parenting advice, yet I did not have a role model to follow. The old saying it takes a village to raise a child
is true to a certain extent.
I want to thank the ladies in parenting class, my family, my best friends, my next-door neighbor who would babysit from time to time, and my church family (The Village)

This is my guide written especially for you as you embark upon your journey of motherhood.
Introduction
Because my childhood and my upbringing were not the best because of terrible living conditions and sometimes being in situations that would put me in danger of predators, I was overprotective. I did what I knew, and I made a
