About this ebook
After my 13-year-long marriage ended, I received a lot of advice from people around me. There was one piece of advice that really stood out to me and set the tone for my journey of healing. The advice was simple yet powerful: there are no shortcuts in this process. Going through a significant change like a divorce requires time and effort, and there is no easy way around it.
As someone who was always in a hurry, this advice was both simple and terrifying. I had to learn to slow down and allow myself to heal properly. When relationships end, we often seek different outlets to cope with the pain. For me, one of those outlets was writing poems, which I did for two years. I hope that my journey and the poems in this book will help you on your own healing journey.
