Chapter One

I close my eyes and imagine my life is calm, and that I am on a serene lake I take the step to end it all. The cliff is so high that it has to kill me. There is no chance of survival. I feel the wind rushing toward me. I hear the waves crashing nearby. I don’t want to live anymore, I can’t live anymore.

My heart has been broken and my life ripped from me. How am I supposed to live another day? How am I supposed to work as if everything is okay? I have never been vain, but my beauty has been taken from me. There is no one to turn to. What type of life is worth living without another shoulder to lean on? How am I to go on with all these secrets in my life? I smile and no one sees my tears. I laugh and no one hears how fake it is. If I die now no one will care. I hide secrets no one will ever know. When I smile it’s all a lie.

The impact is coming and I am ready. Suddenly there is darkness, blissful silence.

How am I still able to think? Where is this so called light or fire that I should be feeling for eternity?
