A CAR WAY TO GO

The roaring protests of another car as it was smashed and crushed and warped into a neat giant cube of twisted metal filled the air as retired detective Kendra O’Connor stood in front of the massive industrial crusher. She had seen pictures of them before but to stand in front of one was something else.

As the immensely thick crushing plates lifted up, Kendra just watched in amazement as the massive pistols moved and did all sorts of engineering wonders that she didn’t understand.

She turned away from the crusher and pulled her long black peacoat tighter around her ageing body, and she focused on the endless scrapyard around her.
