A SPICY WAY TO GO

Retired Detective Kendra O’Connor had always absolutely loved spicy food. When she was a child her and her parents used to go out to brand new foreign Mexico restaurants that started popping up after the second world war, and whenever her parents were gasping because of the spice, Kendra would only want more.

She loved spicy food, and she had even eated whole ghost chillies, the hottest chillies on the planet.

But Kendra seriously hated the idea of dying in chilly oil and that was the extremely strange case that her best friend and head of the London Metropolitan Cold Case Taskforce Retired Detective Jeff Long had sent her last night. All Kendra knew for sure was that she had to find the killer for her own peace of mind, the sake of the task force and to get justice for the victim.

The victim was always her priority.

As Kendra sat at a large wooden picnic table in the middle of a very large open field just outside London with tall chilli plants gently blowing the cool wind and soaking up all the amazing sun that was beaming down on them. Kendra felt her stomach rumble.
