About this ebook

This book is written to enlighten true believers about the current dangers of denominational religion. Paul, in 2 Corinthians 6:17, says, "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing."

Now, the "unclean thing" is Christendom, in allowing and using Bibles that have been

Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth - David N Emerson

Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth

Rightly Dividing the Word of TRUTH. In 2 TIM 2:15, Paul instructs Timothy how to understand the word of TRUTH, bearing in mind that this was Paul’s last epistle and has great significance to us all. The very first thing we have to do is read our Bibles; it may seem a strange thing to say, but herein lies the biggest fault among us. We have been lulled into a way of reading lots of books and other writings. There is nothing wrong in this except they are MAN’S writings. The WORD OF GOD’S TRUTH is for every true believer; it is what GOD says to US. It is so important we only use the KJB as it stands supreme above all others, and I am bold to say all other translations are merely man’s attempt to try to better it or make a name for himself.

So, to begin to understand, God’s dealings with man throughout time have been different. For example, before the flood, man was DIRECTLY accountable to God and it was no different after the flood, so God gave man a fresh start after the flood and MAN failed again. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord and God instructed him to build an ark for the saving of his house. Then man built a tower and again, God DIRECTLY intervened and confounded their language and scattered them throughout the world. Up until this time, all people on earth were GENTILES.

Then, in GEN 12:1-2, GOD called out Abram to form the nation of ISRAEL. From now on, GOD makes a covenant with him, GEN 15:18. WE are NOT under God’s direct rule or under Covenants’, so things have changed AGAIN. Then God continues with Abraham on the line of promise, and we can now trace that through to Egypt where ISRAEL as a nation was formed and were delivered by God from Egypt through the Red Sea into the wilderness where they wandered for forty years under MOSES, and God, by MOSES, introduced the LAW, eventually going into the Promised Land under JOSHUA.

The next CHANGE: God calls SAMUEL now his dealings with Israel are under the prophet, then they asked for a King and God gave them SAUL. Then after SAUL’S failure, God introduces his choice, DAVID. And finally, during the reign of UZZIAH in 740 BC, God calls ISAIAH, the first of many prophets, extending to MALACHI.

We now have 400 years of silence between the Old and the New Testaments. This began at the decree of Artaxerxes in 445 BC, NEHEMIAH 2:1-9, until BC 4, as recorded in ISAIAH 7:14 and LUKE 1:31: ‘Behold, thou shalt conceive in the womb and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.’ This brings us to the New Testament and here we are introduced to JOHN the BAPTIST, the great forerunner of the LORD JESUS, sent to make straight paths for the LORD. In MATT 21:38, in the parable of the wicked husbandman, God told how they had said, Here is the heir; come let us kill him. Sadly, this all came to pass at the CROSS. Right from the call of ABRAHAM unto STEPHEN’s martyrdom, God is dealing with ISRAEL; this now comes to a conclusion and is resumed after the Rapture of the church.

It is here that GOD’S relationship changes from the LAW to GRACE, introducing PAUL, the beloved APOSTLE, to the GENTILES. This is now the time of the formation of the body of CHRIST until the rapture when all true believers will be united with their glorious LIVING HEAD.

These periods of time are known as dispensations, and unless we understand what is written to ISRAEL, and what is written to us in this day of grace, we will be confused. For instance, in JOHN ch 14, the Father’s house is the New Jerusalem, the LORD is speaking to Israel. Again, in MATT 24:36-42, those taken are taken in judgment, NOT as so many think that they are raptured, and those left behind will enter into the millennium. If you read it carefully, you will understand this all takes place during the tribulation when the LORD will come to exercise JUDGMENT. Thankfully, we who believe will already be with the LORD in heaven and so shall we ever be with the LORD. Our calling is heavenly in origin and destiny whereas Israel’s is a Kingdom on earth, all be it a Heavenly Kingdom, and will be the centre of GOD’S government in the millennium.

In many churches today, they sing and believe that JESUS is their king. NO, he is ISRAEL’s King and will shortly be received by them as their King. Israel looked for signs but they walked by sight; we walk by faith. As the scripture says, ...what is seen is for a time but what is unseen is eternal. 2 COR 4:18.

When you read your Bible, understand that where you are reading determines whether it is addressed to you or Israel. What was written afore time was written for our learning, ROM 15:4. I think it is very important to know that scriptures like HEB 6: 4-6 and 10:26-28, and again in 2 PETER 2:20-22, are clearly not addressed to us. Firstly, it is in the book of HEBREWS and we are not Hebrews, plus, our salvation is eternal and cannot be lost, as Paul said, But by the grace of God, I am what I am. 1 COR 15:10. Because we have such a salvation, full and free at no cost, simply to believe, does not mean we can continue in sin. God forbid, it seems some feel that making some commitment like repenting or keeping up some kind of conduct is necessary to holding onto their faith or salvation. No, by grace are ye saved through faith: and that not of yourselves: it is the GIFT of GOD. Not of works, lest any man should boast. EPH 2:8-9.

We must not forget, we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that everyone may receive the things done in the body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or Bad. 1 COR 5:10 - this judgment is not penal but to receive rewards according to our walk here. We know ISRAEL could as individuals lose their salvation because it was a works-based Salvation. And to conclude, the books from Hebrews to Revelation are written for Israel.

My desire for all who read this is that the peace of God rest upon you as we await our precious saviour.

    Your brother in Christ,

    David

An Open Letter to the Saints

As I believe, a servant of the Lord should be ready to give an account of his service to all; it is the sincere desire of my heart that having such Holy and Precious Truths known to us, we can encourage all to be fully persuaded of our faith.

Firstly, a question has been raised about whether Repenting is essential to Salvation. This seems a very valid point, but our Salvation is a free Gift by God as we can see in COL 2:13 and 2 COR 5:19, ROM 4:5 and clearly in EPH 2:8 and 9. For by Grace are ye Saved through Faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the GIFT of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. The whole question of a free and full Salvation is a Gift without any conditions, as soon as we request Repentance as necessary it becomes a work, but the Bible says, not of works lest any man should boast.

All we have to do is BELIEVE by faith alone. It will be noticed that all these letters are entirely based on scripture, and no reference to any other source or other writings. This World is so full of its own activities and doings that it goes blindly on including the Religious world.

Our part is to store up treasure in heaven while we can. So, let us build on the foundation that has been laid with a path that reflects the one who has called us out, for his pleasure and glory and our eternal blessing. The word of God is reassuring; he says, Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. MATT 24:35. So, whatever you do, do it as unto the Lord and he will reward us. May we not drift from day to day but redeem the time for the days are evil.

The very fact that God has shut up all in unbelief shows he is not expecting anything or requesting anything from us at all but to believe in him JOHN 6:29. The hymn ROCK OF AGES puts it so perfectly - nothing in my hands I bring. We are destitute in sin and are lost until we look to
