Derek! I heard from behind me.

My idea of dinner since then was from the dollar menu at one of the fast-food places next to the apartment.

So, what happened? Jeffery asked as he looked at my dive into a colossal chili burger.

You going to eat that? I asked as I stared at his fries.

What's to say, I said, emptying his plate onto mine. She found someone else, and didn't want to be with me no more, I shrugged. I think he performs on stage or something.
