INTRODUCTION

Our world is daily plagued with diverse challenges thus exposing families to severe forms of marital turbulence. The institution of marriage was ordained by God when He brought Eve to Adam in Genesis 2:18, KJV, And the LORD God said, ‘It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him.’

Adam’s participation also became demonstrated when he correctly perceived whom God brought to him, And Adam said, ‘This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Genesis 2: 23, KJV. It therefore means God owns the secret to a sustainable, enduring, and successful marriage. The devil’s deception is the fear he has instilled in people’s hearts primarily targeted at discouraging them from getting married. He has also tried to lower their expectations in marriage thereby making them settle for less. He has achieved this through their childhood memories of abuse and failed marriages.

Every human being on earth came from a family comprising of the father and mother. The personality, behaviour, attitude, and emotion are largely shaped by this basic unit and the society is a reflection of the failure or success of the family unit. The outcome of the relationship between couples has overbearing effects on the world at large. The family therefore holds the key to a functional society.

The word of God remains the only potent change agent and game changer. The word of God is the final arbiter and the uniting factor between two believers in holy matrimony. It is the fixer and the missing factor to a Godly, blessed, and blissful marital journey. Oh, how believers miss out on this. If only they knew the efficacy of giving the word first place in their homes.

A perfect marriage is not a mirage, it is a possibility. I pray you will be inspired as you go through this book with thoughts and ideas to make your marriage work and be all that God wants you to be.
