    Oiendrila Chakraborty (Kolkata,India)- *Monsoon*

    *Monsoon*

Monsoon is a season. This is what we all know. But have you ever thought if it's just a season?

Monsoon its more than just being a season. It is the life giver, it spreads happiness and what not.  Monsoon is a lot many thing in itself. It is the time when the trees gain life, the lonely gets a friend, and when things gain beauty.

As the first drop of rain falls on the Earth, she regains her beauty and we get the petrichor, the trees cherish being naturally watered again, they cherish getting wet and give out their shine, the lonely gets a partner to look at and enjoys the solitary.

Monsoon is not just a season. It gives hope. A hope that not every time you have a bad time, your story ends. The etherally beautiful part still awaits for you. Like no matter how dried it is, no matter how hard it is for the trees to live they still stand erect and comes monsoon with the hope of life. Monsoon is more than just being a season.

Monsoon is the second chance as well as the warning. No matter how much harm we do to the nature. It gives us the second chance by pouring down rain on it. Replenishing the water we need, the beauty of the Earth and the life of the trees. But it is also a kind of warning that it has limits too. And a day would come when no second chance would be granted. And everything would be in a mess.

So why can't we see monsoon in a different perspective instead of just the geographical definitions? Why can't we learn something from it and try to improve ourselves. Why can't we just not be so selfish and also think about our Mother Earth? Lets just not enjoy the monsoon season this time. Let's take a step forward to save our Mother Earth and make this monsoon happy for all beings.
