    Bonito – more than beautiful

    Bonito (translated beautiful) became worldwide famous by Ecotourism. Tourists always praise the fantastic, beautiful landscapes with transparent rivers (high content of calcium bicarbonate and magnesium, high lime concentration in the soil), waterfalls, grottoes and caves. Mostly we see sedimentary rock (formed from algae and shells, hardened into rock), about 500 to 600 million years old (Corumba-Sea, scaling). The Bonito caves are wet and dark, some have lakes inside, bats and small creatures. For safety reasons these caves should be only entered with a guide.
