Intro
––––––––
We all love to smile and laugh. But how do we make that happen? Here are 10 awesome writers who thought a lot about being happy. They have some simple secrets and they want to share them with us. Let’s have some fun with these clever people and benefit from their great minds!
I picked 10 of the best:
Plato helped us imagine two worlds: the one we see and the one we don’t. He also knew some secrets to happiness. He said that we can be happy in this world by aiming high and learning as much as we can.
Aristotle was a super smart guy who showed us how to learn from nature and the world. He said that we must have a good balance in life to be happy. In his spare time, he also helped make our society more free and fair through his writings.
Epicurus figured out that everything is made of tiny bits called atoms, without any fancy tools! He loved life so much that he didn’t care about death, because it can’t hurt us. He said we should just have a good time with friends.
Seneca wrote a lot of cool stuff about life. We should only do what we like with friends we like and not spend too much time with people that don’t care about us because life is too short.
Marcus Aurelius was a big boss in Rome! He had a lot of power but also a lot of wisdom and kindness. He wrote about how to be happy by not stressing over things we can’t change and every day remember to be grateful for what we have.
Spinoza wrote about God and nature, the world, and people, and how they are all connected as one. Some people wanted to make him stop, but he kept writing and thinking. His books teach us how to be happy with one another.
Schopenhauer explored how to be happy in a world that sucks sometimes. He told us to chill and accept things as they are, even when they are bad.
Nietzsche wanted us to take charge of our lives and make them awesome. He said we can do this by not copying others but using our own strength to plan for success and happiness.
Heidegger realized that we are not alone in the world, but part of it. He said we must live in the now and remember that our life and world are special and won’t last forever, so we must be happy now.
Camus thought life was
