Whispers of the Soul, Time, and Nature - Alexis N Yohmba
The Cry of the Innocent
Innocence lost in the shadow of war’s might,
Children of nature, stripped of their right.
To live in a world free of fear and pain,
But all they know now is loss and disdain.
Their eyes, once bright, now dim with tears,
Reflecting the chaos of their formative years.
Every day a struggle, a fight to survive,
Praying for a chance to be alive.
Homes shattered, dreams torn apart,
As bombs fall, piercing through the heart.
Their cries echo, a haunting refrain,
A melody of suffering, a chorus of pain.
The Echoes of Despair
Despair hangs heavy in the air we breathe,
A cloak of sorrow, an unending sheathe.
Hopes and dreams, once vibrant and bold,
Now whispers of memories, stories untold.
Each day a reminder of what was lost,
A staggering price, an unfathomable cost.
The laughter of children, now a rare sound,
In a world where misery is profoundly bound.
Nature watches, her heart torn asunder,
As humanity blunders, a tragic wonder.
"Why must you destroy what was given in love?
Why turn against each other, forsake the dove?"
The Wails of the Wounded
The wounded wail, their voices a piercing cry,
Underneath the mournful, clouded sky.
Each moan a testament to the brutality of man,
A cycle of violence, an unending span.
The earth trembles under the weight of their pain,
A canvas of blood, an indelible stain.
"Why must you inflict such torment and ache?
What is the purpose of the havoc you wreak?"
Nature’s tears mingle with the blood on the ground,
A symphony of sorrow, a harrowing sound.
In the face of such agony, what can she do,
But weep for her children, lost and askew.
The Silent Plea of the Earth
The earth whispers a silent plea,
Begging for an end to the tyranny.
"Let my rivers flow clear and free,
Let my mountains stand tall, in majesty.
Let my forests grow, lush and green,
A haven of peace, serene.
But you ravage my lands, with fire and steel,
Ignoring my cries, refusing to heal.
I am your mother, your life source, your home,
Yet you treat me as if I’m a mere stepping stone.
Return to me, embrace my embrace,
Find solace in nature, in my tranquil grace."
The Forgotten Promise
A promise forgotten, in the rush for more,
Nature’s bounty, once revered, now ignored.
"Remember the days of harmony and trust,
When you walked my paths, in awe and lust.
When you revered my rivers, my skies, my earth,
Understanding the value, the worth.
But now, in your haste for power and gain,
You’ve forgotten the beauty, the joy, the pain.
Come back to me, to the roots of your soul,
Let me heal you, make you whole.
For in my arms, there is respite and peace,
A chance for the madness, the chaos, to cease."
The Sorrow of the Sky
The sky weeps, her tears rain down,
Mourning the loss, the decayed crown.
"Once you looked to me with wonder and awe,
But now, in your hubris, you only withdraw.
You pollute my air, darken my blue,
A testament to the damage you accrue.
But still, I offer you breath, life, a chance,
To change your ways, to enhance.
Look to the stars, the moon, the sun,
Remember we are all one.
In the vastness of the universe, a speck in time,
Find humility, repent for your crime."
The Whisper of the Wind
The wind whispers, a gentle caress,
A voice of reason, amidst the mess.
"I carry the seeds of hope, of change,
Across the lands, wide and strange.
Let me guide you, show you the way,
To a brighter, kinder, more loving day.
But you must listen, heed my call,
Before it’s too late, before you fall.
In my breeze, find a moment of calm,
A soothing balm, a healing salm.
For in my voice, there is wisdom, there is love,
A gift from nature, from above."
The Plea of the Oceans
The oceans roar, a mighty sound,
A plea for respect, profound.
"You pollute my waters, endanger my life,
Engaging in an endless, destructive strife.
But I am a source of life, of sustenance, of glee,
A vast, unending, mysterious sea.
Respect my depths, my creatures, my coral,
For I am a part of you, integral, moral.
In my waves, find a reflection of your soul,
A place for introspection, to make you whole.
But you must act, before it’s too late,
Before you seal your own fate."
The Call of the Wild
The call of the wild, a beckoning sound,
A reminder of what was once found.
"The animals, the birds, the insects, the trees,
All part of the web, a delicate frieze.
But you encroach, destroy, take what you please,
Ignoring the balance, the harmonies.
Come back to the wild, to the rhythm of life,
Away from the turmoil, the strife.
In the heart of nature, find your truth,
The innocence of youth, the sleuth.
For in the wild, there is wisdom, there is peace,
A chance for the soul, to release."
The Lament of the Land
The land laments, a mournful song,
A plea for what’s right, what’s wrong.
"You build, you destroy, you alter my face,
Forgetting the importance of my grace.
But I am the foundation, the ground beneath your feet,
The place where life and death meet.
Respect my hills, my valleys, my plains,
For I am the keeper of your remains.
In my soil, find the roots of your being,
A place for seeing, for freeing.
But you must care, nurture, protect,
Before it’s too late, before you neglect."
The Hope of Nature
Despite the despair, nature holds hope,
A way to cope, a scope.
"For in my arms, there is renewal, there is life,
A way to end the strife, the rife.
Remember the beauty, the magic, the wonder,
Before it’s all torn asunder.
Come back to me, to the heart of your soul,
Let me heal you, make you whole.
For in nature, there is love, there is peace,
A chance for the heartache, the pain, to cease.
Embrace me, cherish me, hold me dear,
And together, we can overcome the fear."
Stranger in a Familiar Land
In lands afar where eyes gaze strange and cold,
A wanderer I stand, in time misplaced,
Their stares, like daggers, sharp and uncontrolled,
In me, a tale of other worlds they’ve traced.
My name, a whispered legend, known, revered,
In realms where I’m the hero, bold and free.
But here, a ghost, my cries for kin unsheared,
A stranger to their songs and symphony.
My steps echo in silent, alien streets,
A rhythm lost in time’s relentless flow.
No friendly glance or warm, familiar greets,
Just shadows of a life they’ll never know.
The air, it hums a tune so strange, so new,
A melody from lands I’ve yet to tread.
In dreams, I’m home, ’neath skies of endless blue,
Awake to find this foreign earth instead.
I yearn for laughter shared in golden halls,
For tales spun ’round the fires of my youth.
Here, voices echo through these empty walls,
Their words, a language harsh and uncouth.
In every corner, memories arise,
Of friends and foes, of love and battles won.
Yet in this world, my spirit only cries,
For all I was, and all that’s come undone.
This world, it spins, a dance I cannot join,
Its rhythm foreign, steps I cannot trace.
I’m but a shadow under their sun’s coin,
A misplaced soul in time’s relentless chase.
The birds, they sing, but not for me their song,
Their melodies, to others’ ears are sweet.
In my heart, a longing deep and strong,
For home, where time and love in concert meet.
In dreams, I soar through skies of bygone days,
Where stars align to guide me to my kin.
But dawn awakes me to this world’s cold gaze,
A wanderer, with skin of alien tin.
They see me not for who I am inside,
A hero, a legend, a soul of might.
In their world, my essence must I hide,
A phantom in the shadows of
