    Dear Diary - Beth Jackson

    Chapter 91 Tate

We are sitting in the lounge all having our coffee. It simply feels like we are killing time. But the fact we know Uncle Pierce and Alex are now trailing Hattie's car has somewhat settled our nerves a little. She should be safe now, I would think. We can get her home and then make sure she is guarded like Violet and not give those nut jobs from that pack a chance to get their hands on her for whatever their sick purposes had been. The vision had to have happened or a reason, a warning, I believe. It gave Violet a chance to let us know, so we could get to Hattie before it happened. To protect her before they got hold of her and potentially hurt her. I mean, I assume that was what they would do. But in truth, we don't know what their intentions would be with her. Would they use her to manipulate Lachlan? He would do anything for his mate, so that had to be their likely motivation in hindsight...

I looked across the room. Lachlan was anxiously pacing the floor so, despite knowing Hattie had her Dad and his Dad guarding her, he still felt unsettled. Though I can get that. I think I would feel the same if it was Violet in that situation. I wouldn't feel safe until she was back by my side. I look to Violet. She has Devin on her knee. He is now snuggled into her chest, fast asleep. She looks so natural with a little one snuggling in her arms. So beautiful. Perhaps…

No, I need to stop thinking like that, I tell myself. She has too much going on right now. Maybe one day though. I would likely terrify her if she even knew that thought had crossed my mind. She had been terrified by the thought of a mate, haha, let alone the thought of having pups too. Especially considering her pups have a chance of being gifted too, she would have the possibility of passing on that gift to any girls she has. I can't help but smile at the thought of children we may have. Wow... this girl has definitely changed me, and she had no clue how much!

Is there any more news? Lachlan's voice on the phone to Hattie's Dad disturbs my thoughts.

He had stayed on the call to them as they followed Hattie from the nail salon to the shops, keeping the phone on loudspeaker, but barely talking. I am guessing now his anxiety had got the better of him, and he was desperate for an update on his mate.

Still following her son. Looking at the direction we are heading, I am assuming she is off to West Mall. Plus that was always one her favorite places to shop. Spent so many hours having my butt dragged around their when she was a teenager!

Lachlan nods with a smirk. Makes sense. I think she is off to Fantasies and Daydreams Gift Store. Sure she mentioned there earlier, she had seen something in there she wanted to get. I hadn't had a coffee by that point though, so I wasn't fully taking things in. You know how it can be. Especially with a little one.

I hear Alex chuckling. Doesn't just need to be a little one, son. She is one for wittering. Is enough to make anyone switch off from listening or taking in what she is saying.

Lachlan laughs. Never a dull moment.

I smiled, Hattie was known for being a character. Definitely a chatterbox! But she had made Lachlan happy. They had been such an unlikely couple, we were shocked when they discovered they were fated mates, but yet they were a perfect fit really, so bizarre when you think about it. How they can be an unlikely couple but a perfect fit when they are together. Seems the Mood Goddess knows what she is doing. They made a wonderful Alpha and Luna for our pack too. Everyone agreed with that, and they were very much loved. The whole pack would be devastated if they knew their Luna was potentially in danger.

She's pulling in now. We are a few cars behind, as some idiot pulled out in front of us, so we will park up and walk into the Mall with her, let her know we are there. Alex says.

    Thanks Lachlan says.

Haha, nothing changes. She is parking miles away from everyone Alex says. What is my girl like?!

It is so she doesn't knock them. Lachlan tells him. Her driving is terrible.

That she gets from her mother not me! Alex says with a chuckle.

She tells me that it is her parking that a little iffy, and that if people don't leave much space around their cars it makes it a bit difficult for her, Violet says.

    We all find ourselves laughing.

Woah! Some dickhead nearly knocked her over, while he was pulling into the space next to her. Alex says.

Lachlan frowns. Looking at me. The tension in the room has suddenly increased tenfold. This doesn't sound good. Get to her quickly he says,

    On it he says.

Shit is all we hear. No!

Alex? Lachlan is demanding. What is happening?

    Silence…

Alex? I can see the fear all over his face now as he speaks. A cold chill spreads across my body. I think Violet's vision may be coming true... Alex?

Lachlan. They have got her… Alex's voice is breaking as he speaks.

    Dear Diary…

All seemed to be going well. They were with her. Following her. They thought they would get to her, be with her in the mall and bring her home. But things just could not work out, could they?

I knew that vision had to mean something. I knew they would get her. I don't know their reasoning for taking her. But I do know we need to save her. Need to help her. They can't hurt her. We need to bring her home to Lachlan. To Devin. To the pack.

    Chapter 92 Harriett

…I am woken as I am being dragged along the floor, my skin grazing painfully along the floor as whoever has a hold of me pulls me along behind them. The bag is still over my head. I am pulled to my feet now, they have a tight hold of my arms, I am likely to have bruising they are being that rough. Which sick bastards are these? And why? Are they trying to bribe Lachlan?

I am thrown onto a chair, ow! I moan in pain and I hear a chuckle. Whoever has me finds this amusing. They have a sick and twisted sense of humor. I didn't get a look at them when they got hold of me, as they came at me from behind, and when they were in the car the windows were tinted, so I have no clue who it is. Not to mention, they put a bag over my head and then fucking knocked me out! I wonder if it is a rival pack, Alpha? They have been known to kidnap Lunas as a declaration of war or bribing the Alpha. Is that what this was? We had had no inclination that anything was coming that I can think of. Lachlan is very open about discussing pack matters with me, so I am sure I would have known if there was any trouble brewing with other packs other than the one where his family were. And everything with them was focused on Violet. Not me.

I try to fight some more, hoping to get away, though realistically I know there is very little hope of that. They suddenly dragged my arms behind the back of the seat to tie me up. It hurt so much, but I try to be brave. Not wanting to give them the satisfaction of knowing they were hurting me.

They ripped the bag from my head, pulling my curls on my head right back hard, causing my neck to jerk sharply. My eyes were blinking, trying to adjust to the brightness they had suddenly been exposed to. As my vision altered to the bright lighting in what was beginning to look like a dungeon room or similar, I could see a man, and my heart dropped. I did not expect to see him. Why did he want me? He was meant to want Violet, was he not?

He saw me looking at him, and he allowed himself a slow, purposeful smirk to spread across his face. Well, Hello Harriet. He sneered.

    Wh..wh..why? I stutter.

Dammit, so much for wanting to not appear scared!

Why what, my dear? Why you? Why are you here? he smirked once again.

You know what I mean I scowl.

Not particularly. But in response to those. Why you? Because I warned your family, well your husband he would regret talking to me and doubting me the way he did, and I imagine right about now or when he discovers you are missing that is exactly what he is doing he cackled, sounding so evil, almost like a witch. And why are you here? Well, I can use you as power, my dear. I want Violet. I imagine Lachlan… sorry, Alpha Lachlan, will want his beautiful Luna back. The question is, just how far is he willing to go to get her back? Will he give Violet up for her?

They won't do that I tell him.

Knowing they are all set to protect Violet with all they have. But would Lachlan let these fools get away with taking me? Surely, if they were going to make it known they had me and try to bargain for me in order to gain Violet, then Lachlan would then know where I was. This Damien was a fool is all I can say, because at the moment Lachlan has no clue where I am, he thinks I am shopping. So he has the upper hand with the fact Lachlan doesn't know, but as soon as he knows, then this pack are in serious trouble.

Really? He would let his mate and wife die for this gifted wolf? That has only just come into their life. I think not. A mate bond means so much more. Not to mention the fact you are the mother of his son, are you not? The heir to his pack. You could easily bless him with his very own gifted wolf in the future. He is sneering, and I find it almost sickening.

I simply looked away. Not willing to discuss things with him. Especially my son, or any future children Lachlan and I may have. Because right now I cannot lie, I am petrified I will not see my little boy again. I am so terrified I will not get to see him grow up to be the handsome Alpha he is destined to be. All because of this sick individual in front of me. He has destroyed so many lives.

I am reaching for my wolf, hoping if she shifts I can attack him unawares, maybe kill him. I had tried multiple times since I had come around, but I was struggling to find her. I had thought it was maybe because I was dazed from being knocked out. But she is still not there. I think she is gone. Had he drugged me while I was knocked out? I would not put that past the sick fucker.

Aww, are you not wanting to talk with me sweet girl? That is not being a very grateful guest now, is it? Did your mother never teach you good manners? That pack always was a little questionable. Plus, you have had to live with Lachlan for a number of years, that has to be very unsociable. His father was very much the same. He is smiling, almost sarcastically.

I roll my eyes at him and again chose not to answer. Desperately hoping that they contact Lachlan sooner rather than later, so he can begin his plan to come and help me. He would help me, right? He had to…

You don't have to fear me you know dear. Damien's voice disturbed my thoughts. Despite all the bad things people have said about me, you have to remember the things you have heard about me are from the side of a family that dislike me, so they were never going to be good. Family conflicts are horrendous, especially when they disown you. It makes you feel so alone. So isolated. Deserted. You have to look for help, for support. But as I said, my dear, I am not as bad as they make me out to be. I will not hurt you. He is smirking at me, and that smarmy smile, in all honesty, is one I am totally unsure if it is one I would trust or not…

    Dear Diary…

We are so filled with terror at the fact we have heard nothing, they have her. My vision was right. I wish I had seen more now, so I knew more. All I know was they had kidnapped her. He was tying her up in what looked like a dungeon. Can I force myself into visions? I need to research.

Devin is in my arms, and each time I look at him, I just see a sweet little boy, so like his Mama, but also a sweet little boy who desperately needs his Mama. We need to get her home for Devin more than anyone. I cannot let him lose his Mama I cannot let him grow up without his Mama like I had to. Not this beautiful little boy. He deserves a happy childhood with both his parents there. We need to find a way!

    Chapter 93 Lachlan

Hearing those words makes it feel like my entire world is crumbling around me. They have my girl. My mate. My wife. My everything. I am going to destroy that fucker!

Follow them I say, but the voice is not my own, it is the voice of my wolf Cade pushing through. I can feel his anxiety as much as my own. He is struggling to hold himself back from pushing forward to the point of shifting and racing over to their pack to kill them all in a murderous rampage. Cade is a formidable, powerful Alpha wolf.

He takes no prisoners when it comes to fighting, especially when it comes to protecting his pack. But he has never had to protect his family like this, and the feelings it was forming within not only the wolf, but me too, were alarming. Both Cade and I were protective of our family, especially our mate and our son. But the fact somebody had dared to lay their hands on our mate was causing feelings that were on the verge of wanting us to turn into a slaughtering assassin, ready to take out an entire pack for our mate.

But thankfully, Cade had control and amazing restraint. Not to mention principles and morality which were making him think rationally and pause his murderous thoughts, knowing it was not the right thing to do to go in and kill an entire pack for the sake of what was likely to only be a few family members. And he and I knew that once Cade began his rampage he would be unstoppable. There would be no end to the killing storm until everyone there had died as a way of punishment for touching his mate.

At least for the time being, he has this under control. But I was unsure how long that would last. I could have a battle on my hands if he began to struggle any further, or this situation got any worse.

We are already on it son. I hear my Dad's voice now. I can only assume Alex has his phone on speakerphone. "We
