Love Hurts - Mubita Joseph Mubita
Chapter 1: Trouble
Evans, a student at a nearby university, possessed qualities of interest, intelligence, and adaptability. Despite these traits, he had few friends due to his financial struggles. However, those who did befriend him recognized his potential and loyalty - they cherished these attributes.
His infatuation with Emily quickly transformed into love. Evans was willing to do anything to impress her - the only obstacle being their social classes. Emily came from wealth and enjoyed luxury items while Evans struggled financially and could not provide such extravagances.
Previous suitors of Emily's fled when she requested gifts they couldn't afford.
Despite his economic hardships, Evans was diligent in seeking employment opportunities that would allow him to win over Emily.
The following morning, dressed immaculately in a white long-sleeved shirt paired with black trousers and shoes accompanied by a black necktie; he appeared as if he were already managing an establishment rather than looking for work.
As he walked down the street towards prospective job openings advertised on flyers littered about town; pedestrians parted ways for him as if royalty approached them.
Finally discovering one flyer advertising open positions at FOOD RESTAURANT including Cleaner roles along with Sous Chef and Bar Attendant duties; Evans became excited since this could offer the chance needed to step up his game in pursuit of winning over Emily's heart.
Only ten meters away from where he found this flyer lay the restaurant itself—smaller than expected outside but larger within its walls and radiating brightness throughout its interior spaces.
Upon entering through those doors leading straight ahead towards its bar area approximately ten meters distant stood tables arranged circularly around it on either side. The kitchen resided behind a bar space close enough that management staff might oversee things easily enough without leaving their
