Upon Mount Zion - Olusegun O. Salami
Foreword
As the world goes through perilous times, the news conveys mass death due to disease, war, and social life changes. We live with a deep sense of uncertainty and insecurity. No one knows what tomorrow holds. Even without the walls of our churches, enmity and strife exist; we must talk less of the false doctrines being preached and practiced.
In the midst of this dark time and confusion, we know for sure that the Almighty God still reigns REF: 2 Timothy 2:19n says, Nevertheless, the foundation of the God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let everyone that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
We need to stand firm on His word; no matter what the situation. I know for sure that God will take care of you, your family, your needs, etc.. REF: Eph 3:20, Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.
What can’t He do?
In Jeremiah 29:13, it says And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
God can do anything, but we have to communicate our needs through prayer. So, what is holding you back? Why are you limiting God’s ability with your own doubt? REF: Numbers 23:19, "God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Take your needs, requests, etc. to God in prayer. By His Grace and Mercy, we shall all finish well.
To our Father in the Lord, the General Overseer (Daddy GO) of the Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E.A. Adeboye, and my Pastor (Peter Oyediran) of Redeem Christian Church of God of Jesus House Huntsville (RCCG-JHH), you are a gift from God to our generation. Thank you for your daily prayers.
Thanks to my lovely wife and sons for moral support and encouragement. To our friends Mrs. Genevieve S. Adiong, Sir Gerald B. Adiong, and Sir Ruben D. Escudero, thank you for your diligence in polishing this prayer book with your editing skills, assisting with the cover design, and giving wise and sound input. I’m in awe of your God-given gifts.
To our Father, our Savior Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, thanks for all you have bequeathed on me. To God Be the Glory!

Prayer #1:
Prayer for My Day
REF: Psalms 51; 23; & 91
May heavens approve my plans and desires as I begin today with songs of praise. The Bible says that the steps of the righteous are ordered by the Lord. Every step that I shall take henceforth shall be in the right direction. I will not stumble, I will not stagger, I will not fall and I will not falter. Every demonic harassment of my life is terminated today.
With joy, blessings, prosperity, I will always be ahead of my enemies. In the name of Jesus, I will arise today, and God will reverse my irreversible. In the name of Jesus, I will arise today, and God will fulfill all my dreams. In the name of Jesus, I will arise today, and God will end stagnation in my life.
In the name of Jesus, I will arise today, and God will help me to fulfill my potential. In the name of Jesus, I will arise today, and God will accelerate my promotion. In the name of Jesus, I will arise today, and God will take me to greater height.
In the name of Jesus, I will arise today, and God will move me from Glory to Glory. In the name of Jesus, I will arise today and begin to shine for the Lord. In the name of Jesus, I will arise today and begin to swim in God’s Glory. Father Lord, please grant my heart desire to conquer every battle in my life. So shall it be in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Prayer #2:
Morning Prayer
REF: Psalms 5:3; 88:13
Father, I thank You for this day, for my being able to wake-up once again, to see another day. I’m blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God. Please forgive me Father, for anything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to You. Keep me safe from all danger and harm and help me to start this day, with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Clear my mind so I can hear from You; broaden my mind, so that I can accept all things; let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over.
Let me continue to see sin through Your eyes and acknowledge it as evil. When I sin, let me repent, and confess with my mouth all my wrongdoings, and receive Your forgiveness. When this world closes in on me, let me remember the example of Jesus, to slip away and find a quiet place to pray. Father use me to do Your will, bless me that I may be a blessing to others, keep me strong that I may help the weak and keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others. I pray for those who are lost
