200 Mixed Trivia Questions
()
About this ebook
Most of my trivia books focus on specific topics. This time, I wanted to switch it up and mix a lot of things together. It's very wide-ranging, so you never know what type of topic you'll get. I put these questions together for our family trivia weekend. It was a competition between our two oldest daughters, their mother, and their younger sister. If you're looking for a challenge and want to learn about a lot of new things, this could be a good book for you.

200 Mixed Trivia Questions - Lance D. Williams
(Introduction)
If you read my trivia books, I think you’ll notice that I put in a lot of effort to make them as challenging and wide-ranging as possible. I try to put in a lot of things that most people don’t know about so they can learn something new. I love doing trivia activities with the kids because it gives us an opportunity to learn together in a fun way. Sadly, it seems like the more access we have to information, the less people want to use it. A lot of people would rather focus on celebrity gossip and stupid things on social media than learn something valuable. Test scores continue to go down in the United States. Many adults in the United States lack proficiency in literacy, with reading levels between 4th and 6th grade.
I’ve been around a lot of kids who don’t know basic information. Some of them couldn’t spell their names; there was a 10-year-old who didn’t know his birthday but could quote many lines from Top Gun: Maverick. Many kids learn more things on TikTok than they do from books. I don’t want to sound like the old person who complains about the younger generation. But I am concerned about the future. Not just with kids, but with adults as well. So many people spend time on useless things and negative content. If that’s how they want to spend their time, that’s their right to do it. I’d prefer to learn something new or interesting. For example, today I was doing some research about a political topic, and I started reading about Victor L. Berger. That led me to learn more about the Espionage Act of 1917. Then I started to learn more about the people involved with it over the years. I spent a couple hours learning about new things that I wasn’t planning on. That’s usually how I come up with most of my trivia content. I'm doing deep dive research, and it takes me in many directions I didn’t expect. I’m always taking notes, and eventually I end
