Chapter 2: The Life and Work of Napoleon Hill
Napoleon Hill was born on October 26, 1883, in Wise County , Virginia. He began his career as a journalist, but soon became interested in success. In 1908, Hill met Andrew Carnegie , the American industrialist and philanthropist. Carnegie was impressed by Hill's enthusiasm for success and invited him to become his assistant.
Carnegie tasked Hill with interviewing 500 successful people, including Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, George Eastman, and Andrew Carnegie . Hill spent 20 years conducting these interviews, and his findings were published in Thinking Grows Rich.
Hill continued to write and speak about success until his death on November 8 , 1970. He is considered one
