About this ebook

Greg, a sarcastic yet serious high school student, goes to the carnival being held at his school with his friends. When Greg is separated from them, he goes into one of the tents for psychic readings. To his surprise, it's the class clown guy, Taylor, who's always cracking a joke and is a little too bubbly that is running the tent. As Taylor's reading Greg's palm, he tells him he's going to meet someone soon, and it's going to change his life. Greg just laughs and tells him the chances of him meeting a girl is zero and Taylor tells him it might not be a girl. Greg doesn't know why this bothers him so much, but as he and Greg start talking, they get along instantly. From then on they start hanging out at school and soon Greg starts feeling something he's never felt before. But Greg and Taylor are straight and there can't possibly be something between them. Could a fake psychic reading end up being true? Read to find out!

A Psychic Love - Monica Moss

    GREG

I never believed in fortune-telling. I always felt you created your own future, not the lines on your palm. That was until I had my palm read by him. Who’s him? Well, you’ll see soon enough.

I’m Greg Baker, a 17-year-old high school student who has always been serious and sarcastic. I have blended in well at school and try not to stand out too much.

I have short, dark hair that I often sweep to one side. I have a lean build and stand at about 5'10". My face is kind of angular and defined, with sharp cheekbones and a strong jawline. I have eyes that are a deep brown, and I usually wear thick-rimmed glasses.

I dress in dark, muted colors and tend to favor graphic tees and hoodies. Despite my serious demeanor, I do have a playful side. I’m a bit of a loner, preferring to spend my time reading, writing, or watching TV shows.

But recently I’ve been struggling with my feelings. It’s gonna sound stupid but... I sort of started reading... gay fan fiction. I’ve always known that I was different from the other guys at my school, but I never really understood why until now.

I found myself drawn to the stories of love and connection between two men. I identified with the characters and their struggles to come to terms with their sexuality.

So yeah, I think I might be gay, but I’m afraid to admit it. So I push those feelings away. I’m worried about what my family and friends might say if they found out I was gay. I’m also scared of being rejected by the people I care about if I were to come out.

In an effort to keep my feelings hidden, I often lash out at others with sarcasm and biting humor. I use my wit as a shield to protect myself from getting too close to anyone. Despite all that I do have one passion in my life.

I love writing. I’ve won several awards for my short stories and poetry. I also love painting and sketching in my spare time. In my heart, I know that I need to confront my feelings and be true to myself but I’m just not ready to take that step yet. I want to figure out who I am and what I want in my life.

In terms of dreams, I really want to get into a good college after graduating high school. I’d also like to find a way to express myself creatively which is why I keep exploring different types of art forms.

But more than anything I just want to be happy and feel accepted, both within myself and by those around me.

I guess, all I really need is something to push me in the right direction. And maybe that thing, or rather person, was right under my nose all along.

    TAYLOR

I’ve never been a serious guy. I feel the most important thing in life is laughter. But that day when I told him his future, I wasn’t joking.

Hi, my name is Taylor. Taylor Lindsey to be exact. I’m seventeen
