Pulling on a pair of funky, neon-green spider print tights, I checked myself out in the mirror. I liked it!

At 13 years old, I was learning to accept myself and styling was the best way for me to do so.

Clothing would soon become an expression of who I was.

Pulling on a pair of fairy wings, I headed downstairs to the shock of my family.

They never quite got my look – but I didn’t care. I wanted to discover who I was.

You see, growing up I was a very quiet and shy child.
