Poems from a Broken Soul - Jock Campbell

    Mother

Angels voice in a sinner’s shell

The scream of love in the silence held

    Your strength powerful with embrace

    Support of my frightened soul

The beat of life in your touch

    Maternal warrior to our cubs

    Adorning your angelic warmth

No wings present in your deeds

Blessed to be my partner in crime

Had the love to bare the next line

Times kindness having you so long

I’ll worship you till we are gone

War lines from fights of the past

Missions accomplished for all of us

    Wisdom shared with your thoughts

Love proposed for all our fights

Little reward for all the nights

Not being able to close your eyes

    Cradling hearts broken by life

Knowing you’re there in our strife

Proud to call your name as wife

Ready to rest with a breath out

Follow the light away from this hell

    Finally leaving your sinner’s shell

    About the Happiness I Share

Starts the Swelling of my Heart

And all Emotions from round there

I feel the Soul inside of Me

    Reaching a Stronger Light

    Leaving Burdens behind you see

And Regrets with all their might

While some will ask for miracles

I need not Ask the same

I AM the greatest God has made

In the Image of Him, Whispering my Name

We are the Vision of Whom we seek

Be it Old Man or Shining Light
