About the Author
Author’s Note
All my stories are purely fictional, and they are written with that in mind.
Have you ever wished you could travel back in time?
Well, so does Colton! So, he decided to invent a way to make time travel possible.
As much as I enjoy writing the Colton’s Pocket Dragon books, I also wanted to create another magical series continuing these stories, which would give young readers a little knowledge of history.
The new series: Colton’s Time Machine books are spin-offs from the original Colton’s Pocket Dragon books. Colton felt it was time for his dragons to get a little education about history, so he built a machine that would take all of them back in time.
In this book, Colton and his dragons will travel to Charlottesville, Virginia, in the year 1809, to make macaroni with Thomas Jefferson; thereafter, they will travel to The President’s House in Philadelphia, in the year 1797, to speak with John Adams. Finally, off they go to Philadelphia, June 10, 1752, to fly kites in an electrical storm with Benjamin Franklin.
From then on, Colton will be one busy little boy, finding and caring for eggs until they hatch, then off on a fun-filled flying adventure in Colton’s Pocket Dragon books. Colton will then climb into his time machine, in the Colton’s Time Machine books, traveling back in time to important events and to meet famous people.
I hope you will enjoy reading and learning along with the dragons while Colton teaches them history.
The places, events, facts, dates and people were researched and used as true to the best of my knowledge.

CHAPTER ONE
The next morning when Colton awoke, he got dressed, slipped on his backpack then went to the kitchen to eat breakfast.
I thought we could eat lunch together today?
his mother said, setting a plate of pancakes on the table.
I would like that,
Colton replied, pouring syrup on his pancake.
When Colton finished eating, he put his plate in the sink. See you at dinnertime,
Colton said as he left the kitchen.
He went to the front door and opened it. Not seeing Zinnia anywhere, he ran out of the house and down the sidewalk to the park. I wonder who that boy is with Zinnia, he thought. All at once, a jealous feeling rushed over Colton. Shouldn’t I be happy that Zinnia has a new friend? That means she won’t be bugging me as much,
Colton said, kicking at a rock. He took a deep breath and entered the park, heading to the big tree. He sat down and took the History book out of his backpack. Now, where shall we go on my next time travel?
Colton asked, looking through the pages.
"Hi,
