About the Author
Author’s Note
All of my stories are purely fictional and are written with that in mind.
Have you ever wished you could travel back in time?
Well, so does Colton! So he decided to invent a way to make time travel possible.
As much as I enjoy writing Colton’s Pocket Dragon books, I also wanted to create another magical series continuing these stories, which would give young readers a little knowledge of history.
The new series: Colton’s Time Machine books, are a spin-off from the original Colton’s Pocket Dragon books. Colton felt it was time his dragons got a little education about history, so he built a machine which would take all of them back in time.
This is the first book in Colton’s Time Machine books. In this book, Colton chose, for his history lesson, to visit "Christopher Columbus, August 11, 1492 to help discover America. Then, off they go to the year
July 4, 1776, the Pennsylvania State House to sit in on the writing of the Declaration of Independence. The final stop will be
the summer of 1777, to throw stones across the Potomac River with George Washington."
From now on, Colton will be one busy little boy, finding and caring for eggs until they hatch, then going off on fun-filled flying adventures in Colton’s Pocket Dragon books. Colton will then climb into his time machine, in the Colton’s Time Machine books, traveling back in time to important events and meeting famous people.
I hope you will enjoy reading and learning along with the dragons while Colton teaches them history.
The places, events, facts, dates, and people were researched and used as true to the best of my knowledge.

CHAPTER ONE
Colton changed into his pajamas then went to the desk and looked through a stack of books. This book looks interesting: "‘How To Build A Time Machine,’" he said. Colton picked up the book and went to the bed, got under the blankets, opened the book, and started reading. After an hour, he yawned, laid the book down, closed his eyes and fell asleep.
The next morning, when Colton awoke, he looked over at the book and said, I’m going to build a time machine.
He then got out of bed, changed into his clothes, and went to the kitchen to eat breakfast.
What are you doing today?
his mother asked.
I’m going to build a time machine!
Colton blurted out.
You’re going to build a what?
his mother asked.
"Oh, I’m reading a book on ‘How To Build A Time Machine,’" replied Colton.
That’s nice,
his mother said as she put the sack lunch in his backpack.
Thanks, Mom, see you later,
he said as he left the kitchen.
Colton went to the park, and sat by the big tree. He took the book out of his backpack, and began reading. After an hour, he closed the book and lay
