About this ebook

The life of an outlaw is never an easy one. Men that go down that path are destined to be hunted all the days and nights of their lives. It's a life of constantly being on the run from the law, never having one permanent address, and always looking over your shoulder for the long arm of the law. There's hardly any comfort when you're alive, and it usually ends in only three ways. Either you get caught and spend the remainder of your days in the slammer, you get shot like a stray dog in the street, or you get caught and hang for your troubles. It's not a pretty or easy life, but it simply is what it is.

The Sad Life and Death of George Parrot - John J. Law

    Prologue:

The life of an outlaw is never an easy one. Men that go down that path are destined to be hunted all the days and nights of their lives. It's a life of constantly being on the run from the law, never having one permanent address, and always looking over your shoulder for the long arm of the law. There's hardly any comfort when you're alive, and it usually ends in only three ways. Either you get caught and spend the remainder of your days in the slammer, you get shot like a stray dog in the street, or you get caught and hang for your troubles. It's not a pretty or easy life, but it simply is what it is. Most outlaws simply accepted these harsh facts as part of the lives they chose, or were destined to live. An outlaw's life was often dangerous and uncertain. An outlaw's life was often harsh and brutal, to be sure. Sometimes however, even an outlaw's death could be considered just as bad if not worse than his life. This was exactly what happened in the strange case of George Parrot.

As an outlaw, George could not really be considered as legendary or iconic, like Jesse James, Billy the Kid or his other contemporaries. He was not very competent in his robberies or with wielding a firearm. While he was alive, his biggest claim to fame was his big nose, which gave him the moniker George Big Nose Parrot. His last name also fed nicely into his unflattering moniker, but the records aren't very clear about George, as he used many names and aliases in his lifetime to cover his tracks. Of course, that's neither here nor there. Suffice to say that, George was just another drunk outlaw with a penchant for tall tales. Just another desperate man on the run in generally desperate times. No, George was nothing out of the ordinary in the Wild West, at least when he was alive. What happened after his death however was simply bizarre, macabre and downright cruel. It was a fate that no man deserved after their passing, and is worth noting.

But to get to the end of George's sad fate, we must see what happened to him in his life. The old Indians said that to truly get to know someone, you needed to walk a mile in the shoes. It's time now to walk more than a mile in George Parrot's shoes. But just take note of what the shoes are made from when you wear them. You'll notice that George's shoes are made of human skin and nipples. Yes, human skin and nipples. Confused? You'll soon understand what I mean when you read on about the sad life and death of George Parrot.

Chapter One: Dead Men Tell No Tales

George Parrot was born in France in 1834, close to the border of Switzerland. Just like his name, this cannot truly be verified, as George was one who often used
