About this ebook
As an agent at the SCP Foundation, you quickly realize that you're part of a world that's as bewildering as it is terrifying, a reality that very few are aware of or can comprehend. But this strange and uncanny reality is the one I've chosen to dedicate my life to, and every day, I bear witness to phenomena that both challenge my understanding of the universe and underscore the enormous responsibility we shoulder.
I am Agent 3096, and these entries are my attempt to document my journey in this extraordinary organization. The SCP Foundation is much more than its stark acronym would suggest - Secure, Contain, Protect - it's a sentinel against the inexplicable, an ark of the anomalous, a bastion against the bizarre. We stand guard between humanity and the multitude of unexplained entities and phenomena that exist in our world.
The journal you're about to read isn't a detailed report of each anomaly or a thorough analysis of our operations. These entries are personal reflections, brief snapshots of daily life within the Foundation, and the impact these experiences have on me, both as an agent and as a human being.
They capture moments of terror, of wonder, of realization, and of loss. From the awe-inspiring to the horrifying, from the benign to the malevolent, the SCPs I encounter are a constant reminder of the immense diversity of the universe, and of our limited understanding of it.

Introduction
Why create these entries, you may ask? The answer is simple. Amid the fear, the chaos, and the often incomprehensible, I've felt the need to leave a trace of my journey, a testament to my experiences.
This journal serves as a form of catharsis, an outlet to process the unique challenges and surreal moments I experience daily. But it is also an acknowledgement of the sacrifices made by my fellow agents, and a tribute to their bravery and dedication.
I write these words not knowing how or when you might be reading them. Perhaps you're a new recruit, seeking to understand what life at the Foundation entails, or perhaps you're a seasoned agent, seeking solace in shared experiences.
Regardless of who you are, I hope these entries give you an intimate glimpse into our world. Welcome to the SCP Foundation, where the line between the mundane and the extraordinary blurs, where the known meets the unknown, and where every day is a step further into the unfathomable.
Journal Entry Date: June 8
TODAY WAS MY FIRST day at SCP Foundation, and boy, was it something. From the moment I stepped off the transport, my senses were bombarded. There's a smell to the place - not unpleasant, but potent - a mix of sterilization and...something else. Something I couldn't put my finger on. A distinct smell of otherworldliness.
The architecture of Site-19 was nothing like I had ever seen, a strange blend of brutalist concrete and advanced technology. It was here that I met my fellow agents for the first time. They were no longer individuals with names and identities, but agents with numbers. It felt strange, dehumanizing to some extent, but I guess it's part of the detachment required to work here. I am Agent 3096 now.
Agent 4472 was the first to greet me. He's been here the longest, or so I've been told. He has a peculiar, intense gaze that looks like he's seen things beyond comprehension. And yet, there's a resilience in his eyes, an unyielding determination that gives me a sense of reassurance.
Then there's Agent 6571, my direct senior. She's the one who'll be guiding me through the initiation phase. The word 'initiation' seems too soft for what's actually coming, considering that we're dealing with entities and objects that defy the known laws of the universe. She seems stern, but I also sensed a hint of understanding in her demeanor - she's been in my shoes once.
The orientation was a whirlwind. The long corridors, the secured containment cells, and the constant vigilance required - it was all overwhelming. We were given a simple rule - adhere to the three principles of the SCP Foundation: Secure, Contain, Protect. Failure to comply could lead to catastrophic consequences, not just for us, but potentially for all of humanity.
As I sat alone in my bunk after the first day, I felt a sense of awe mixed with trepidation. I realized the enormity of the commitment I had made.
