Chronically Alive - Jasper Dabrowski
you ask me
why im tired
when I am
privileged to
stay at home
you ask me
where my pain
is in disbelief
it is everywhere
in every fiber
of my existence
exhaustion
courses through
my body
with my blood
because there is nothing
i can do
except stand outside myself
and scream
noiselessly
while daily tasks break
my spirit
and grey clouds
take over
dampening my thoughts
and so when i tell you
i am tired of living
believe me
i am not
being dramatic
i don’t want
anyone’s attention
i am
not
in
danger
these are just straight facts
of being
chronically ill
and chronically
alive
