I was standing at the ass-end of a long line-up of maybe a hundred people.
It was May, it was warm and everybody around the country wanted to get their hands on this new-fangled contraption called a Betamax.
I didn’t have much patience for long line-ups, but I was fed up with coming home from a long day of saving the world, too late for that day’s episode of Star Trek.
