That’s what my friend and fellow apprentice witch, Natalie, told me as she pressed a broad, leather – or was it human skin – bound book into my hands. To date, I had only practiced with wind spirits or forest energies. Summoning so much as a blade of grass was out of my realm, but I was never one to refuse my friends.
