About this ebook
The book is about stories based on politics and sex, where graduate students learn about stories in different languages to understand fiction in the USA. All stories have a theme in which most of them involve male and female relationships of the same age. These relationships are based on the Bible, where God created Adam and Eve on the sixth day--meaning, same age and opposite gender. There are other biblical themes, including science among other messages, to have a reader stay focus on every word used in these stories. Goals for writing these stories is to get people to read and develop reading as a hobby. Reading fiction can be an escape from reality to go into a paradise imagination. Those who major in literature will likely have a great understanding of the short stories in Hobby for Readers

All Legal
Making everything legal is the solution to our complex issues due to the law. Closing jails and prisons are in part a solution to our problems. Laws incriminating those who have weapons under the black market must be abolished. Schools ought not to force their students to show up for class, nor make attendance a demand for kids. Work must be optional as well. Those who want to work may have a job, but those who opt to steal will not be punished. Robbery will not be penalized even though they may be me at risk of getting injured by the homeowner. The homeowner and the thief may not take their case to court because they both have a right to bear arms, even if the guns are from the black market. Women have the right to abort for any kind of reason at any time of their pregnancy. Feminist will be allowed to brutally abuse men; thus, a macho man can use violence against women. Physical violence is not punishable regardless of the grave situation. Those who do not acquire high education may be allowed to live in the same town as those who are highly educated. Segregation, including ethnic towns, will not have a law stating that the marginalized groups will live apart from the group majority such as the white race. In other words, groups with subcultures will be given the opportunity to live with the White majority groups. Rejection of social class will no longer exist. All social classes must share the same town despite the fact that some people are richer than others for their career goals. Drug dealers may not be punished for the sale of drugs anywhere in this nation. Doctors may kill their patients when they believe the patient will be living in great pain if kept alive. Children being raped by the father, stepfather, someone they know, or by a stranger may not have the power to incriminate the molester. Molesters will not be sentenced to prison, nor to death, but to be set free in a society not seeking for revenge. In case the molested child kills the molester, the victim will not be sentenced to jail, nor prison, due to the fact that there will not be jails nor prisons. There is no law for using violence against violence that can result in incriminations of any person killing another person. Adultery is not punishable. Spreading AIDS intentionally will not be a crime. Becoming polytheist is acceptable as well as being atheist and monotheist. Cannibalism, carnivores, vegetarians, and vegans are accepted in all kinds of societies. Killing a police officer or a member of the military, including other law enforcers, will not be punished for the crime committed. Anyone can be fired without a reason in any kind of job, including politicians. Assassination of a president will also not be a crime. Consequently, any kind of destructive is a form or anarchy, so to bring order in societies along with the government is relevant to having laws for the simple reason that we must all say, A republic [if you can keep it.]
Call Girl
Amber is a woman who was sexually abused by her stepfather at the age of twelve when her mother was working as a lawyer overtime when recently married, so she supported financially her husband who had lost his job for being a lobbyist. Without knowing what to say to her mother, Amber was ashamed of her being molested by her stepfather, whose name is Roy, hoping for the rape to end soon and keeping it as a secret until she could trust someone to save her from the abuse, including her mother, Amanda.
Amanda. Did you do your homework?
Amber. Yes, I even studied more than what the teacher asked us to study.
Amanda. Good… Did your father feed you?
Amber. Roy isn't my father.
Amanda. Well, you know what I mean.
Amber. I am eighteen, Mom. I want to stay on campus to focus only on school.
Amanda. You will always be my little girl.
At the age of eighteen, Amanda had not told anyone about her secret; however, her stepfather had stop sexually molesting her because he lost interest in her since she no longer looked like a little girl. The sexual abuse stopped when she turned sixteen years old. Ready to live for school and not see her mother, nor stepfather, ever again, she found it difficult finding a job without a college degree. Unfortunately, Amanda decided to keep her in a community college for two years until she was ready to apply for a university to pursue a bachelor's degree. Amanda wanted to control her life so she wouldn't be influenced by friends to live a life that can be hard without an education. Amber was paling to persuade her mother to let her study abroad in England to become an English professor. Shockingly, Amanda decided for her daughter to become a businesswoman in order to become a billionaire.
Troy. Remember all those great moments we had when you were a sexy little girl?
Amber. Leave me alone, Troy!
Troy. Now that you are planning to become a teacher, maybe you can introduce me to some of your students.
Amber. No! And I will become a high school teacher.
Troy. You know perfectly well I prefer elementary girls.
Amber. One of these days you are going to prison.
Amanda. Why is your father going to prison, Amber?
Amber. Did you overhear our conversation?
Amanda. No!
Amber. Let Troy tell you because I'm leaving now so that I don't have to talk to neither of you.
Amanda. Amber, not so fast. Wait!
For a long hours Amber stayed in her room thinking on how to leave her house without having to spend her life in a bad town full of crimes. Moving out from a dangerous home to a dangerous town had her thinking of coming up with a perfect plan to live a safe life when leaving her mother and stepfather. Many times it crossed her mind that she was ready to tell her mother about the truth of Roy sexually molesting her as a child. Possibly she could see help from a psychologist to guide her on what to do in her situation. The problem with this is that a psychologist might refer her to a psychiatrist to fix her trauma. Amber wasn't sure that a psychologist would have the right to contact the police since talking to her will remain as a confidential talk.
Psychologist. Hi! How can I help you, Amber?
Amber. Is this the place where I can seek help to fix my childhood trauma?
Psychologist. Yes!
Amber. I noticed I had to sign a form of confidentiality. Can you tell me more on that so I can determine if I am in the right place? What I'm trying to say is that I need legal help, but first, I want to talk to a psychologist to keep record of my trauma and take this to court. I am only eighteen years old, and I'm having a hard time behaving like an adult. I can't leave my hostile home…
Psychologist. Would you like going to a shelter?
Amber. No!
Psychologist. There are many ways I may be able to help you.
Amber. I'm here to speak about molestation.
Psychologist. According to statistics, the father is the number 1 rapist, then the stepfather, and finally someone that the victim knows. Are you a victim of molestation?
Amber. Yes!
Lunchtime in the community college went well because her favorite cheese pizza had so much cheese in it that she was thinking it was deep-dish pizza. Sometimes the pizza did not have enough cheese that she would just have a salad. Amber did not eat meet, including seafood. She tried being a vegan once, but pizza was so delicious she only had cheese when she ate pizza. Soya milk taste delicious with strawberry rice water. Part of her belief was that humans were born to be vegans, but something happened that they became omnivorous. Probably the exile of Adam and Eve from the Genesis made humans omnivorous. But that was just her theory because Adam and Eve were fruitarians. Like it or not, Amber knew humans no longer live in paradise so she had to deal with the idea that humans had to eat whatever they wish.
Jenna. Hey, I have a secret to tell you, my dearest friend.
Amber. What is it?
Jenna. Well, you have to keep it a secret.
Amber. I promise, but only if it doesn't involve you being a criminal.
Jenna. No! Nothing like that, Amber.
Amber. All right, tell me, my dearest best friend.
Jenna. I found an amazing way to make money.
Amber. The easy way, right?
Jenna. Yes, but is a great plan to make tons of money to leave home without our parents having to pay for our college expenses.
Amber. What's wrong with our parents paying for our education?
Jenna. See, being independent is every American dream, so I have found a solution to this problem.
Amber. What kind of job are you talking about?
Jenna. Working as a call girl…
Amber. I have to leave, Jenna.
Jenna. Wait! Lunch isn't over.
Early in the morning, Amber left her house to go out jogging in such a beautiful sunny day to produce endorphins because she needed happiness in her life; meanwhile, she could not trust her friends with her secret. While running, she thought about the psychologist who said she had diagnosed her with depression during their conversation. Nevertheless, there was not a talk about medical treatment, so jogging may be the solution to her depression instead of taking prescribed medication. Not that she wouldn't take the medication, but she wasn't ready to tell her mother about her appointments with the psychologist.
Amber. My friend Jenna spoke to me about being a call girl,
not knowing I had been molested as a child. It's so hard for me to continue my friendship with her.
Psychologist. Listen, Amber, according to psychology, girls want to have sex with their father, and boys want to have sex with their mother. It's natural that you have your stepfather figure as your father. May I ask what happened to your father?
Amber. My father will never rape me, okay!
Psychologist. Don't be too sure. When a man rapes a child, he feels pleasure.
Amber. I am not using my insurance to hear this from you.
Psychologist. It's perfectly fine, but you must know the truth.
Amber. This is irritating.
Psychologist. Would you be willing to take dedication?
Amber. I need to think about it.
Psychologist. The rapist never know they are doing something wrong when raping.
Amber. Why do they hide?
Amanda had good a day off to speak with her husband about Amber wanting to study abroad to England for his approval. Rarely did she take Amber seriously because she is used to her daughter doing everything she was told to do. Sure about keeping the molestation as a secret, it made no inference whether Amber was home or in another continent far away from him.
Amanda. I have to keep Amber close to me to ensure no one else gets in her head to persuade her to drop out of college. This isn't what I want from her.
Roy. Let her do whatever she wants. In fact, you should only pay her bachelor's degree then ask her to leave our home. We have more time for only the both of us.
Amanda. Her father left all his property to her before passing away. I can't just give her this house that costs way more than what I make as a lawyer.
Roy. Well, just don't tell her about the inheritance.
Amanda. I don't know for how long I can keep it as a secret.
Roy. Send her abroad to allow her to forget about us.
Amanda. I still love her. She is my only daughter, and I still have this feeling of protecting her from danger. I just don't wanna give up on her. At the same time, I can't have her become the owner of this house. My career as a lawyer isn't going well. New lawyers from colleges are better prepared for court than older lawyers like myself. It's all changing too much, and I don't want to go to college at my age to become a better lawyer. I am better off becoming an advisor to possibly make more money in law. Experienced lawyers don't always make more money than law students with higher degrees than experienced lawyers.
Roy. Don't give up. You will become, someday, a judge. You just have to believe in yourself.
Amanda. Have you thought about going back to work as a politician?
Roy. I must wait to ensure I can persuade society that I am not a lobbyist.
Far from the table when Jenna was sitting down, Amber sat alone in the cafeteria, reading a book to avoid watching Jenna staring at her. Losing her friendship was something she didn't want to do, but she needed time to trust Jenna again. Despite of Amber reading a book to avoid Jenna, this didn't stop them from having a fifteen-minute conversation in the cafeteria before class began. Uncomfortable but in mind thinking about not giving up on their friendship, they had a clear conversation on what the call girl
job consisted.
Amber. You don't know me, Jenna.
Jenna. We have been friends for years. I know you very well. Or at least that's what I thought because lately, you have been strange and distant from me. I would never jeopardize your life, so you have to trust me when I put all my trust on you.
Amber. Jenna, I know that you think a call girl
job is safe, but there are women who do meet men in person for coitus.
Jenna. Is not what you think?
Amber. Maybe it is exactly what I'm thinking.
Jenna. You need to overcome fear.
Amber. You know little about me.
Jenna. Well, what is it that I don't know about you?
Amber. Just forget it, Jenna.
Therapy wasn't helpful for Amber. Knowing she was not close to her mother stopped her for many years to tell her the truth, even though as a child, Amber could not come up with the words of what her stepfather did to her. Unable to believe that her father would ever rape her, she chose to think of the great moments she had with her father when he was alive. Courage is what she needed to think that she can trust her mother now that she could explain rape. After all, she had no reason to believe that her mother would not believe her about the molestation.
Amber. Mother, we need to talk.
Amanda. Yes, what is it that you need to talk with me?
Amber. It's about Troy—
Amanda. Be very careful what you will say about him.
Amber. What do you mean?
Amanda. I mean that he raised you as his own child.
Amber. He raped me!
Amanda. Lower your voice, Amber.
Amber. Why aren't you shocked?
Amanda. I'm going to call him right now.
Amber. No, Mother, I need your trust right now.
Amanda. Troy! Come over here!
Amber. No, Mother, please, don't do this to me.
Troy. I overheard what you have been talking about. I never did anything to Amber.
Amanda. See, now I have two versions of the two of you.
Amber. This isn't court, Mother. This is you trusting me for being your child.
Amanda. What proof do you have?
Amber. I am not a virgin.
Amanda. You probably had sex with a classmate.
Amber. Prove it!
Going to ask for help to Jenna after her mother asked her to leave the house to never see her again was a hard decision because she felt embarrassed uncovering the secret between Roy and her, but she had to toughen up to move on with her life by not letting the rape ruin her in every aspect. She's hoping Jenna would let her stay in her apartment until she is finish with her last semester in the community college to apply for on campus in a university then move abroad to continue her studies. She no longer wanted a bachelor's degree but a doctorate to combat injustices in a political field, where she will be allowed to use statistics on crime rather than having a psychologist accepting rape as a norm. Therapy needed to change.
Jenna. What happened?
Amber. My mother asked me to leave her house.
Jenna. You want to talk about it?
Amber. No! I do want to know about call girls.
Tell me everything you know about it so I can make the decision to get it or not get in.
Jenna. Some call girls also work as escorts.
Amber. I don't want to work as an escort.
Jenna. Well, that is less money for you.
Amber. I need money. My mother left me with nothing but school loans. I need to stay with you until the semester ends so that I can work then go off to live on campus in a university.
Jenna. Call girls
make easy money.
Amber. Jenna, when a woman consents for sex and is unwanted, I truly believe this is rape.
Jenna. That's not the way I see it.
Amber. Yes, Jenna I have been raped. Even though I did not say no,
I know it's rape.
Jenna. Sorry, I didn't know.
Amber. I'll be fine
