Oris's POV

How are you feeling? I asked, my eyes set on Elsie as I studied her face. Her once paler complexion had been brought back to its healthier tone. Her freckles illuminated on her skin through the rosy softness of her cheeks, and her eyes returned with the mischievous sparkle I adored.

I feel okay, Elsie replied with a smile Much better now I'm home,

Rory's POV

Of course I wasn't going to take the little monster to my  Autumn Pack home, that would be far too easy for the Warren's to track her. As much as I had wanted to bribe them into giving Elsie back to me, I also quite liked the idea of a chase, making it difficult for them.

I chuckled to myself, my fingers squeezed the steering wheel with delight as I thought of those pathetic Alpha's showing up at my house, hoping to find the child and return her home with them. Fool me once, and all that.

Uncle Robert… a soft voice called from the back seat. It took a while to register she was talking to me, completely forgetting I had given the girl a false name. 

Yes sweetheart? I asked, altering my tone to sound genuine and full of care. My eyes watched her in the rear view mirror. What dumb shit was she going to ask me?

Where are we going? I'm bored, She asked, I watched as she fiddled with her hands, pulling against the seatbelt.
