About this ebook

"I can't deal with your games anymore. Tell me the truth about Caroline," I asked.
To my surprise, Aiden's reaction was nothing like I expected. His face contorted with a cold, bitter laugh.
"Oh, please. You think you're worth my time? You're just a nobody, and I'm not going to make our thing public. You're just a convenient little toy for me to use,"
I took a deep breath, mustering all the strength I had left, and decided to play it cool. I needed to catch him off guard and show him that I was not going to be just another pawn in his twisted games.
"Is that how you see me, Aiden? Just a damn toy? Well, I've had enough of your games,"
Aiden looked taken aback, clearly not expecting this reaction from me. I could see the anger and frustration in his eyes, but I refused to back down.
"I reject you as my mate, Aiden," I continued, my voice firm and resolute.

The Alpha's Pregnant Mate - Negef Writes

    CHAPTER 1 Pain

    LEAH'S POV

I couldn't let anyone know about my secret.

The nausea was getting worse, and I could feel the color draining from my face. I clenched my fists, trying to contain the waves of pain that were washing over me.

I tried to focus on the teacher's lecture, but my mind kept drifting back to Aiden. I knew that I was way over my head, but I couldn't help it.

I prayed that nobody would notice, but my classmate, Jessica, leaned over and whispered,

Are you okay? You look really pale.

I forced a smile, but it felt like a grimace. I'm fine. Just a little queasy.

Her eyes widened in concern. Do you need to go to the nurse?

I shook my head, even as my stomach heaved again.

As I walked down the hallway, my heart pounding in my chest, I tried to keep my expression neutral. But inside, I was a mess.

The thoughts swirling in my head were like a hurricane, threatening to tear me apart. How did I let myself fall for Aiden? It was so foolish, so reckless. But now I had to face the consequences.

As I walked, I tried to focus on putting one foot in front of the other, but it was like trying to walk through quicksand.

When I walked into the teacher's office, trying to keep my face expressionless, I felt a sense of despair wash over me. How did I get myself into this mess? It all started when I first laid eyes on Aiden. I had heard rumors about him, of course - that he was handsome, rich, and athletic. But seeing him in person was like a punch to the gut.

Excuse me, Ms. Collins? I said, my voice trembling slightly.

Yes, Leah, what can I do for you? Ms. Collins asked, her eyes filled with concern.

I was wondering if I could leave school early today, I said, my voice barely above a whisper.

Of course, dear. Is everything alright? Ms. Collins asked, her brow furrowed with worry.

I hesitated, unsure of what to say. I didn't want to lie, but I also didn't want to tell her the truth.

I could feel the tension building inside me, like a pressure cooker about to burst. Finally, I said, Yes, Ms Collins. I just need to take care of some personal matters. I said hoping she won't ask further questions.

Ms. Collins nodded, but I could tell she wasn't convinced.

Is there anything I can do to help? she asked, her voice gentle and caring.

I shook my head, feeling the weight of my situation pressing down on me.

No, thank you. I'll be fine, I said, hoping I sounded more convincing than I felt.

Ms. Collins hesitated, then said, Well, I hope everything is alright. If you need anything at all, just let me know. I'm always here to help.

I smiled and managed to say, Thank you, Ms. Collins. I appreciate that.

I could feel Ms. Collins' eyes on my back, full of concern. I tried to walk with confidence, even though inside I felt like a jumble of nerves.

As I stepped out of the office, I let out a breath I hadn't realized I'd been holding, and I felt a wave of exhaustion wash over me. I just wanted to go home and crawl into bed, to escape from the world for a little while. But I knew I couldn't.

I had responsibilities to take care of, things that couldn't wait. I tried to push away the exhaustion and focus on the task at hand. But the heaviness of my burden was hard to ignore.

I felt a heaviness in my steps when I walked down the hall as if my feet were weighted down by an invisible force.

My head felt foggy, and my thoughts were jumbled. I tried to focus on the task at hand, but it was hard to concentrate.

All I wanted was to be alone, to have some time to myself. But I knew that wasn't an option.

I reached my locker and fumbled with the combination, my fingers clumsy and uncoordinated.

I finally got the door open and grabbed my books, feeling the weight of them in my arms.

As I made my way to class, I tried to hold my head high and put on a brave face.

But inside, I felt like a bundle of frayed nerves, ready to snap at any moment. I just wanted to get through the day, to get through each moment until I could finally go home.

I knew that even at home, there would be no respite. The problems that awaited me there were just as daunting as the ones I faced at school.

The bell rang, and I took a deep breath, bracing myself for the upcoming class.

I sat down in my seat and tried to focus on the teacher's words, but they sounded muffled and distant.

My mind was filled with thoughts and worries, and I couldn't seem to shake them. The teacher's voice became a blur, and all I could hear was the pounding of my heart in my ears.

I tried to still my racing thoughts, to bring myself back to the present moment. But it was like trying to hold back a tsunami with a sandcastle.

Leah? the teacher's voice broke through the haze. Are you with us?

I looked up, my face flushing with embarrassment. Sorry, I was... um... just lost in thought, I stammered, my voice trembling.

The teacher gave me a concerned look. Are you feeling okay? You look a little pale.

I forced a smile. I'm fine, really. Just a little tired, that's all.

The teacher nodded, but I could tell she wasn't convinced. Well, just take it easy, okay? If you need to take a break, just let me know.

I nodded, and the teacher went back to her lecture. But I could feel her eyes on me, watching me closely. I tried to pay attention, but my mind kept wandering.

Finally, the bell rang, and I hurried out of the classroom, desperate to escape the feeling of being watched and scrutinized.

    CHAPTER 2 Mate

    LEAH'S POV

I got home and slumped on my bed.

    Phewww… what a day.

I sighed as I looked at the sealing. My mind went to how I got myself into all this…

When I turned 18, I felt like I was on top of the world. I thought my life was about to change for the better when the Moon Goddess blessed me with the identity of my mate.

I was sure I'd be paired with someone just as naive and new to the world as I was. But then I learned my mate was Aiden, a guy known for his looks and his popularity.

Everyone at school was crazy about him. I felt like the luckiest girl alive when he agreed to be my mate, but I didn't realize I was falling for a playboy.

I remember that day so well...

As the rain tapped gently on the café window, I found myself sitting across from Aiden, my heart pounding in my chest.

I had asked Aiden to meet me there, but now that he was sitting in front of me, I couldn't find the right words.

The memory of asking about his ex-girlfriend, Caroline, lingered in my mind, and I knew that our conversation was about to take an unexpected turn.

Aiden's gaze met mine, his eyes revealing a mix of vulnerability and attraction.

You know, Caroline and I are no longer together, he confessed, his voice soft yet tinged with sadness.

I felt a flutter of hope rose within me, the connection we had growing stronger by the moment. I'm sorry to hear that, I replied, my heart yearning to console him.

He smiled faintly, a hint of appreciation in his eyes. It's alright. Sometimes things don't work out the way we want them to.

The courage to speak up finally mustered within me, and I took a deep breath.

Aiden, there's something important I need to tell you, I began, trying to steady my voice.

His gaze intensified, his curiosity evident. What is it?

With a deep breath, I mustered the courage to let my feelings spill out. I've been drawn to you since the first day we met. Your confidence, your charm, they make it impossible for me to resist you.

I believe you're my damn mate, the one the Moon Goddess herself has freakin' blessed me with, I said, trying to sound cool and confident.

He looked taken aback but intrigued, raising an eyebrow. Your mate, huh? Well, ain't that somethin', he murmured, his fingers casually drumming on the table.

I smirked, feeling the adrenaline rush through my veins.

Yeah… I feel this crazy connection whenever I'm around you. Don't you sense it too? I asked, giving him a playful nudge.

Aiden leaned in, a sly grin playing on his lips.

Oh, believe me, I've felt that same electric buzz, he admitted, his intense gaze still locked onto mine, sending wicked shivers down my spine.

There's this damn magnetic pull between us that's impossible to ignore.

So... what should we do about it? I asked, feeling the adrenaline pumping through my veins.

The moment was pure dynamite, and I found myself standing on the edge of a life-changing decision. Aiden's suggestion hung in the air, tempting me like a wicked dare.

Let's forget about the freakin' world for a moment, he purred, his voice low and seductive, and just soak in this insane moment together.

    Really? I asked.

    Yeah…

The idea of throwing caution to the wind and diving headfirst into the wild unknown with Aiden was both exhilarating and nerve-wracking. But the thrill of it all took over, and I couldn't help but flash him a mischievous grin,

You know what? Screw it. Let's be rebels and leap whatever this batshit crazy connection leads us.

Yeah, you go, girl! he exclaimed, a hint of excitement in his voice.

So, we're officially dating now, right? I asked, trying to sound nonchalant despite the butterflies in my stomach.

Hell yeah! he replied, a wide grin spreading across his handsome face.

Sweet, I said, feeling a rush of relief wash over me.

I couldn't believe it. The guy I'd been dreaming about, who turned out to be my mate, had officially accepted me as his mate. He didn't reject me; he freaking accepted me! How cool was that? I felt overwhelmed by the moment, trying to keep my composure in check.

But then, like a record scratch, he mentioned a tiny problem.

What's that? I asked, hoping it was nothing serious.

We're dating, no doubt, but I don't want everyone at school to know about it, he said, his tone suddenly serious.

I was taken aback, feeling a mix of confusion and disappointment. Wait... why not? I questioned.

He hesitated for a moment before answering, Nothing, really. I just don't want people poking their noses into our business. Let's be cool secret lovers, ya know? It'll add some spice and adventure to our relationship. What do you say?

Honestly, I wasn't cool with it. I wanted the whole freaking school to know that I'd finally met my destined mate, and he turned out to be the coolest guy around. But here he was, suggesting we keep it hush-hush. It wasn't what I planned or wanted, but the foolish part of me was still happy that Aiden was my mate. And, without thinking it through, I agreed.

Yeah, alright. Let's be sneaky lovebirds, I replied, trying to sound more enthusiastic than I felt.

Now, that's what I'm talkin' about, my girl, he said with a playful wink.

I couldn't believe how foolishly I had agreed to be his secret lover, but I guess I was just too scared of losing him. He was the most handsome man I knew, and now he was my freaking mate. The thought of him slipping away terrified me.

So, let's get outta here and find somewhere quiet, he suggested, his eyes sparkling mischievously.

Where to? I asked, trying to sound cool and nonchalant.

It's a secret, babe. You get it, right? he replied, giving me a mysterious smile.

I sighed, knowing that this was going to be the new norm – sneaking around and keeping our love hidden from everyone. Sure, whatever, I accepted, trying to suppress the disappointment in my voice.

We left the café, and he led me on a wild goose chase through the city. It was thrilling and kind of fun, but a part of me couldn't help but feel like I deserved better than being someone's secret. Yet, whenever I looked at him, all those thoughts vanished, and I found myself falling for him even more.

As we arrived at the secret spot he had in mind, hidden away from prying eyes, I couldn't deny the excitement coursing through my veins. Being with him was electrifying, and I couldn't resist his charm and allure.

Just as I was still processing the intensity of the moment, he turned to me…

    CHAPTER 3 Betrayal

    LEAH'S POV

He turned to me and planted a passionate kiss on my lips. I had never been kissed before, so everything felt so new and exhilarating. I responded eagerly, and soon we were both lost in the heat of the moment.

But then, he pulled away and stared at me with hunger in his eyes. I want you, Leah, so damn badly, he whispered huskily.

I want you too, Aiden, I said breathlessly.

Not as much as I want you. Let's seal our mate bond tonight, he said, his voice filled with urgency.

Wait, like right now? I asked, feeling a mix of excitement and hesitation.

Yeah, unless you don't want to, he replied, his eyes searching for any sign of doubt.

I do... it's just... aren't we taking things too fast? I asked, trying to voice my concerns.

No, we're not. We're freaking mates, baby! That means we're fated to be together forever. There's nothing to be scared of, he reassured me, his confidence unwavering.

My heart raced, torn between my desires and a lingering sense of caution. But... what about protection? I asked, trying to consider the potential consequences.

Protection? Come on, babe, we don't need that. We're mates, remember? he said with a cheeky grin.

But what if I get pregnant? I asked, my worry surfacing.

Then I'll become a damn father, and you'll be a mother! And you know what? It'd be freaking cool, he said, his excitement evident.

But... I've never done this before, so I'm a bit nervous, I admitted, my voice tinged with uncertainty.

Don't worry, babe. I'll be as gentle as I can, he assured me, trying to ease my fears.

Okay... let's do it, I agreed,
