One must remember that Westerners created the modern day Pattaya yet, in our home countries we condemn the working girl trade. The working girls in Pattaya are simply taking what is continually given to them; opportunity. It is not a ruthless approach but more a seduction of naive and horny Western men. Sure, some, if not most, take advantage of that, but where does the fault lie? We created the demand, not the girls! Furthermore, the exchange of money for sex in Pattaya is viewed as a nothing more than a financial transaction with no moral sacrifice, unlike in the West. There is absolutely no shame in getting paid for using one's body to make a buck. It is No Money, No Honey.

Secondly, I want to define my target audience. This publication is not for the guys who come to town looking to indulge in the local flavors armed with the discipline to return home in one piece. Nor does it apply to those who live here with the capability of the same self restraint. My goal is to reach those who come to town with the unrealistic expectation of finding the love of their life working in the adult industry. While it does happen, it is not the norm by a long stretch. In no way am I discouraging tourism to Pattaya. In fact, one of the reason I am here is because of the robust adult industry and I highly recommend that a visit no matter the length or reason, should be high on every man's bucket list. The city is every evolving and is destined to be a major destination for all travelers beyond those seeking adult fun.

My goal is to encourage those love seekers to be keenly aware of the highs and lows of indulging in the local flavors. Keep your wits about you and endeavor to keep your heart in check. There are plenty of you out there who come with the intent of doing just that. Many male visitors to Thailand, predominantly from the Western countries, sadly can reflect on the reality of these quotes.

This book is not judging or condemning Thai women who work in bars, go-go bars, higher-end clubs or walk the streets as freelancers. Most of these women do this work to support their poor families in the villages. However, these very honorable motives can result in the Western male being cajoled out of massive amounts of money, superannuations, homes, retirement funds and sometimes their marriages. The men are ruthlessly dumped when the ‘well is dry’, and for some, committing suicide is not uncommon, as a result.

The commonality many of these men share is the belief that ‘My Thai girlfriend is not like that; she loves me; I’m different; it would never happen to me.'
