From Heart to Heart is a great book to have for your own. It deals with the spirit of the heart, mind, and soul. Reading the material in this book is a blessing to those who want a better walk with Christ. No, it doesn’t take the awesome and nurturing words of the Bible, but it was given to me as an inspiration from God Almighty. In 2021, God started talking to me through the poems, and He said for me to write, so I just started writing.

If it’s important to you to get closer to God and you want to hear a testimony from another faith walker, then choosing the book From Heart to Heart is for you. There are more than inspirational poems in this book for reading. It also has other materials that have a Christian aspirating and motivating story. I hope these specific scriptures will bless your life like they blessed mine, for I want more and more of Him. You really need your Bible with you to follow in the scriptures. I also pray that the poems and other writings will inspire someone to get to know or to get closer to God, for we all need Him as Lord of our lives.

Holy Ghost Fire

There is a fire that needs to keep burning

I say in your home and in mine.

You see the heat is always churning

From a source that's so divine.

Now the fire that's burning on the inside

Is sure to burn through doubts and fears.

Because of where the holy ghost abide

It's sure to dry up all your tears.

Now this fire that's been set in your heart

It will comfort you in every way.

Let it ride, no don't let it depart

It's a guide for you day by day.

Now with this fire, there is no smoke

I know for myself I've seen it in action.

I must tell you it's certainly no joke

It was my mother's main attraction.

I'm thankful for this Holy Ghost fire

It teaches to stay in God's will.

But when I choose to do what I desire

It only creates another devil's bill.

This Holy Ghost fire I really need

In this chosen walk of life that's given.

But it would not be without the seed

Of our Jesus Christ who has risen.

So Holy Ghost fire burn in me

No man can take you away.

Because of this fire, I'm destined to see

Jesus Christ on that getting up day.

O Gifted Women of God

A woman with the wisdom of God

Is a gift that keeps on giving.

It's a blessing to have one beside you

For she helps with your daily living.

The knowledge of God is wrapped all in her

And she shares it with the ones she love.

Don't take her lightly when she comes around you

For this blessing truly comes from above.

Her faith in God is like a ship's anchor

Try to move her when she's planted in His name.

Don't hurt yourself now in this vain endeavor

For she's standing on the Word with no shame.

A woman of God proclaims His healing

We need it in our body, mind, and soul

She knows how to render it all unto the Lord

And allow Him to move and take control

A woman of God believes his miracles

For God is the same then as He is now.

She knows how He moves on His own time

And that God will make a way somehow.

Now through the other gifts in this passage

Prophesy, discerning, tongues, interpretation.

Be confident in your gifts, O women of God

Through the power of God sanctification.

Black Man Walking

(every line in this poem is an experience of my life)

You see a Black man walking and say something's always up.

And put in your mind that he can only still and disrupt.

You see a Black man walking on the street and in the store.

He feels already condemned before he makes it through the door.

We are tired of the hassle for the color of our skin.

But we will keep pushing through the thick and the thin.

We smile at a baby and you grab him in your arms.

You've got to understand that all don't mean you any harm.

We wave at a child, and you make such a terrible fuss.

But there are some Black men that our children can trust.

You see a Black man talking to a young lady with a smile.

But you run and intercede thinking all he has is guile.

The Black man is rising above the doubt you have in your mind.

Just keep looking you're see, could be the one you left behind.

You see a Black man walking, and you think danger is about to brew.

But there's a possibility that he's thinking the same about you.

So take away the stigma of a Black man not being any good.

There are good men around you and some in your neighborhood.

As we push to get better and push the teens to do the same.

Our lives are very important to us, so don't treat it like a game.

As you see a Black man walking through the trials of the day.

We do need encouraging words that will help us on our way.

So walk, Black man walk, walk, Black man, walk.

Something is brewing in my mind

I guess it's just what I do.

Even though today is my birthday

I'm really thinking about you.

I wouldn't at all trade my life

With anyone in this old world.

I'm truly here for the long hall

I do remember our first blind date

It was a joyful turn in my life.
