FOREWORD
MOTIVATIONAL MONDAY VITAMIN INTRO
Everyone has a new beginning at some point in life, whether starting a new job, business, or family. In this small motivational read, that is exactly what you’re getting- Newness! I’ll preface this by first saying motivational literature have probably been around longer than some of us been alive in all different forms to a degree. Our educational institutions, historians, religious leaders, pioneers, mentors, favorite actor/s, sports stars, and modern-day fitness trainers-entrepreneurs are very inspirational, and in a lot of ways, motivational. This motivational read simply take you through a week-by-week basis of critical thinking and practical living. You’ll see the weekly topic or in this case, vitamin that offers insight, wisdom, and key essential motivational strategies. Think of it as your weekly digest. Depending on your beliefs, core values, and spiritual faith, it’s up to you to believe whether you’re more than just a physical body. Most of us are aware we’re made up of mind, body, and soul! Therefore, we need to feed our mind and soul as well as our bodies for continual growth and empowerment!
As author and founder of Motivational Monday Vitamin, the plan is to give wise insight, sound judgement, and tips of critical thinking for practical living while growing in the process. Born in Sumter, SC in 1977 as the fourth youngest of five children to two Philadelphia native African American parents. Times were tough as they struggled to make ends meet for a family of seven, but always provided food, shelter, discipline, and love. I grew up in an era where family core values were essential but not always cherished. In other words, as children hearing your parents give wise advice, strict discipline, admonition, and affirmation, you almost wish more of what was said could be seen or put into action to truly grasp the message.
Let me be the first to admit that I’m truly grateful for two living parents until this present day! Although they had their ups and downs while trying to make the family relationship work, they eventually separated and divorced in our critical years of on-set teenage development. As so many of our peers who grew up in broken or single-parent homes, we were right there along with them. Even in the midst of all the chaos, differences, confusion, resentment, pain, and turmoil, I witnessed something most single-parent homes wish they had, parental resiliency. Our parents may have had their differences while separated, but remained mutual friends to help raise us right and to the best of their ability. Honorable mention to my mother for gaining the strength and fortitude during the crucial moments of holding it down as a single parent!
I’ve gained the wisdom, ethos, grit, and determination from my parents in retrospect to my childhood. Now with a M.B.A in digital entrepreneurship with a thorough background in business, art, and fitness, it inspires me to fulfill my sole responsibility to three teenage children on their own journey! I realize no one is perfect as we all have flaws. However, I also understand mistakes can be repeated or simply resolved. Furthermore, I just want to suggest that no matter the detriment of the past, we are in control of changing the narrative. The Motivational Monday Vitamin sets the tone in giving you a voice and choice to make each day! Click your seat belts. You’re now about to begin an exciting journey to empowering success!

MOTIVATIONAL MONDAY VITAMIN
(ENDURANCE)
As Americans living in the land of the free,
and home of the brave,
we are used to a certain norm in everyday life. Most of us have homes, cars, jobs, bank accounts, family, and friends. It seems like the more life evolves, the more we get accustomed to a microwavable society. Think about it, as the melting pot on God’s green earth, we have access to just about everything at the tip of our fingers. The click of a mouse for tons of information, on demand delivery systems such as Amazon, Uber/Lyft, Door Dash, etc. are just a few of many technologies satisfying our gratification! We’re moving more towards an evolution of AI (Artificial Intelligence) with the autonomy of self-driven vehicles, robotics, climate globalization and human cyclones. The beauty of humanity is that it’s always evolving and becoming more intelligent with technology from century to century. The motivational question of the
