Richard P Feynman

Richard P. Feynman , born on May 11, 1918, in New York City, was an American theoretical physicist known for his contributions to quantum mechanics, path integral formulation, and quantum electrodynamics. Feynman's work revolutionized the field of theoretical physics, earned him the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1965, and left an indelible mark on the scientific community.Feynman's early life and education were indicative of his exceptional intellect. He attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) at the age of 15, majoring in electrical engineering. He graduated in 1939 and pursued a Ph.D. in physics at Princeton University. However, his studies were interrupted by World War II, during which he worked on the Manhattan Project in Los Alamos, New Mexico, contributing to the development of the atomic bomb.

AFTER THE WAR, FEYNMAN joined the faculty of Cornell University as an assistant professor before moving to the California Institute of Technology (Caltech)
