    PREFACE

    Seeing Beyond the Visible is a combined journal of revelations given to Robert L. and Pensacola H. Jefferson during their quiet times with God. God Speaks to each of us through our spirits, especially during our personal, intimate times with Him. We are two ordinary people, who love God and have a personal relationship with Him. When you spend time with God, He will show and reveal deep things about Himself, His Word, and life, so we took notes and are now sharing them with you. It is our hope that these excerpts from our journals will inspire you to spend time with God and inspire your faith by encouraging you to see beyond the visible.

    The various chapters do not have to be read or re-read in any particular order or sequence.

    ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

    I would like to first of all thank the Living God for the opportunity to know Him and have a relationship with Him. For without our daily walks and conversations, I would not have been able to share these revelations. I would also like to thank my husband of 25 years who came up with the idea of putting these revelations together and who is always a constant example to me of seeing beyond the visible. PHJ

    Thanks be to God for His abundant grace. Even when we were yet in sin, Christ died for us. Before the foundation of the world, He chose us, His elect. Not because of the good we have done, not because of the good we will do, but because He chose to love us before we were even aware of His awesome presence. Glory be to God, for His mercy endureth forever. Thanks to my loving wife, who desires above all else, to know God intimately. Because of this desire, she has been a constant rock throughout our marriage. RLJ

    THE INVISIBLE GOD

    WHO IS CLEARLY SEEN

    I’ve been so bothered lately like a woman in labor, but I’m uncertain as to what I’m trying to give birth to. I feel as if I need to write, but I don’t know what to write. Today I was thinking about invisible things. What God has given to me is physically invisible. Inner healing is invisible. A heart change is invisible. Salvation is invisible. Faith is invisible. Love is invisible. The Holy Spirit is invisible. God is invisible. A person’s thoughts are invisible. Yet, these things are also visible as they are being observed through someone’s life. You can clearly see the results of inner healing working through someone’s life, you can see salvation through progressive sanctification, you can see faith through action, love through demonstration, the working of the Holy Spirit through personal convictions, and the presence of God through the anointing. God’s eternal power and divine nature working through His children is clearly seen, as they are being made over into the image of His Son, Jesus Christ. If you have changed, you have experienced God’s invisible qualities working in your life. You can clearly see the change and so do others.

    The dictionary defines the word invisible as;

    Incapable by nature of being seen; inaccessible to view; hidden. OK. How is God described sometimes? "For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities - His eternal power and divine nature - have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made (invented or created), so that men are without excuse." (Romans 1:20) He (Jesus) is the image (exact likeness), (reproduction) of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created; things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by Him and for Him. (Colossians 1:15-17)

    Did you know you were a miracle? Did you know God’s qualities can be understood better when your character changes to become more like His Son’s?

    Scripture References. Philip said, Lord show us the Father and that will be enough for us. Jesus answered: Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing His work. Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves." (John 14: 8-11)

    "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible." (Hebrews 11:1-3)

    Need an example? God is making you over spiritually. He is using His eternal power and allowing you to be a partaker of His divine nature. What people see of you now, does not come from what can be seen with the natural eye or created through any natural means. Therefore, it is not your education, it is not your title, it is not your status, it is not your looks, it is not your possessions, it is not your gifts or talents, it is not your various roles, nor is it anything you have earned, deserved, or think you’ve become worthy of, but it is the Grace of God working through your life transforming you into the image of His Son.

    Allowing God to reproduce the Life of Christ IN You - makes YOU an awesome witness. Because God can be made known or revealed through your Make-Over (being understood from what has been made) and your surrendered life. When people witness the life of Christ in YOUR life – you will be like a living epistle or the walking Word which removes excuses from people’s lips who claim they can’t SEE the truth about God (so that men are without excuse).

    But they see you. You are a witness for God to the world around you. YOU are the miracle! Jesus said, … at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves John 14:11b. We all like houses, wealth, notoriety, and measures of success, which can also be a reflection of the blessings of God. But nothing compares to a changed heart or the reproduction of the Life of Christ in the lives of His children. God looks at the heart and it is God and no one else we want to please. So we must care about the things He cares about. God says, …the Lord does not look at things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart. (1 Samuel 16: 7b)

    When you allow God to build the character and image of Christ in your life first, you receive your greatest wealth and blessings up front; everything else (houses, money, buildings, etc.) will wane in comparison.

    When you seek to be like Christ, you pursue life’s most favorable treasure and nothing else you seek, you desire, or long for will compare to it! Spend time with God. You REALLY DO
