PREFACE

Over time my cry has been how to encourage and guide the sincere Christian to experience Christ in power.

I noticed that many Christians are still struggling to live the Christian life, not to talk of becoming a strong testimony for the Lord. They may be many years in the Lord yet there is no much difference in their spiritual lives. There is no power. This has given me concern.

God’s way to usefulness and effectiveness is not complicated but why is it difficult for many Christians to realize this? This is the purpose of this book.

It is a simple but graphical illustration of the route the Christian takes to come into full realization of God’s thought for him. May the Christian find this a guide to honestly evaluate his walk with the Lord and respond appropriately to Him! Amen!

INTRODUCTION

Every Christian begins his or her spiritual journey at the new birth, when he repents from his or her sins. The point at which a Christian is in the journey of faith determines his Christian growth and maturity, and also his usefulness in the kingdom.

Not everyone begins the journey and continues in it. Many fall by the way side. Some continue but stop at a point. Not even many get to the end of the journey. However, God’s purpose for everyone He has redeemed with His blood is to get them to reach the end of the journey.

Your titles or status in life are of no consequence in this journey. It is not about your being a pastor, evangelist, teacher, prophet or apostle. These service gifts are for administrative purpose in the Church.

It is not even about your talents or spiritual gifts. It is not about your being an elderly man or young person. It is not about your being a General Overseer, bishop, missionary, director of a Christian organization, etc. All these titles and gifts are outside the man.

This journey is about your personal walk with God; it is about your spiritual progress in His dealings with you. It is about where you are in the heavenly journey.

This book takes you through an aerial view of the landmarks of the Christian journey. The purpose is for you to know where you are and what you should do to finish the journey in line with the heavenly pattern.

The book is not just about finishing strong. It is not just about finishing well. It is about finishing right, and finishing full. Welcome on board the flight!
