About this ebook

Cory is pursuing a life of fun, no stress, and taking chances. All three are put to the test when out paddleboarding with the Outback Boys activity group. His chilled morning takes a twist when he loses the battle with jellyfish.

In need of rescue, Cory is more than okay with lifeguard Eric being the man to save him.

Between drug-induced rambling and overly helpful friends, it's clear Cory wants more than mouth-to-mouth with the delicious lifeguard. It's up to him to risk the sting of rejection in the hope that Eric sees him as more than just a guy he saved.

Outback Boys is a sweet and sexy M/M romance series complete with bruised butts, rope burn, and overworked muscles... all in the pursuit of adventure, of course!

    Wobble - Becca Seymour

    CHAPTER ONE

If you even think about pulling that thing out and coming anywhere near me, so help me God, you’ll be walking funny for the rest of your days.

Pete’s snort wasn’t what I’d been aiming for with my only slightly over-exaggerated threat. You know, that sounds intriguing. What are you offering that’ll make me walk funny? ’Cause, seriously, I’ve seen you undressed quite a few times now, my darling Cory, and while you’re packing, it’s not an anaconda. Or even Thor’s hammer. Or—

Stop already, I said with a pained laugh. Pete, the shit, wasn’t making any of this any easier. As entertaining as he was, my leg hurt like it had been dragged through glass.

Are you sure I can’t tempt you? His grin was too broad, especially when a fresh wave of pain from the sting hit me.

This time I didn’t hold back my wince, which got Pete moving, worry sparking in his eyes and making his smile seem more forced. He glanced over his shoulder before refocusing on me. It’s only about a kilometre and we’ll reach the flags.

A kilometre was nothing on an ordinary day, but with the steady throb and occasional wave of fresh pain, the lifeguard flags I could just make out in the distance seemed closer to a million kilometres away.

Come on. Pete moved to my side and hauled me up. Once he’d secured his arm around me, we made the slow walk across the hot sand.

There weren’t that many people at this part of the beach. At some point during our paddleboarding, Pete and I had shifted away from our Outback Boys activity group, chasing gentler waves. Needless to say, I was regretting that now.

The boards, I half-heartedly mentioned, knowing there wasn’t a chance I could drag the board as well as myself.

He shook his head and waved off my concern. You know, Pete said after I failed to hold back a groan, "have I ever told you I’m a huge Friends fan?"

I forced a smile, grateful he was doing all he could to distract me. I’ve never seen the show, I bullshitted.

    Nuh-uh. That’s impossible.

    That right?

"You’re a gay man in his thirties, and I know for a fact you have older cousins and a big sister. You’re a closet Friends fan, admit it." My grunted laugh didn’t distract from the hit of pain.

My thigh’s hurting like a Mariah Carey concert.

If you know who Mariah is, there’s no way you didn’t crush on Joey. He angled to peer at the back of my leg and was slow to hide his wince.

Did the bastards get more than my ankle and calf?

Honestly, the whole thing happened so fast, my focus on my ankle and calf and the small welts forming, I hadn’t paid attention to anything else.

    "Uhm, yeah. Just a
